I've had this on tap at the brewpub, this time from a bomber. Dark brown/black in color, looks like motor that should have been change 5,000 miles ago. Small tan head that quickly dissipates. Coffee and dark chocolate up front on the aroma with a strong roasted malt background. Some malted milk balls and a hint of vanilla as well. Tastes as it smell, with the coffee and dark chocolate leading the flavors, roasted malt shows up toward the end, but is slowly consumed by the strong coffee presence. Mildly bitter finish and aftertaste. Mouthfeel is full, but would like it if it was just one degree thicker. An impressive Imperial Stout, but rather pricey. 18th Street continues to impress.
