Tasting at Rockwell Grill. Clear yellow small white foam head. Barley aroma and taste. A not extraordinary beer. Almost no aftertaste present there. (Houston 201408)

Comes out of the growler a clear, pale yellow with an average yellow head. A bit pale for my tastes - but I'll give it a break, it's a pils and I prefer darker beers. Strong aroma is quite malty with a hoppy and slightly citrusy undertone. Satisfying flavor, though not complex, delights with malty and sharp hoppy notes, a little bitterness, a hint of grapefruit. Hoppier than most pilsners I have tried. Smooth texture is fairly firm and fizzy. This appears to be a special, so grab it while you can, especially if pilsners are your fave.
