351 Asahi Super Dry Japan Lager 1.7

Aroma: 3 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 3 | Overall: 4

Purchased at Liquor Control Board of Ontario store. This is one of the dregs of the beer world. It pours a clear light gold colour with an oversized white cap that quicky disappears. Aroma is skunky vegetables, acid, and grass. Flavour is malt-forward with plenty of skunky and off-flavours.

352 Berthold Keller Premium Lager Belgium Lager 1.7

Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 3 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 3 | Overall: 3

I can say, without hesitation, that this beer was pure shit! Not sure what I was expecting from a Belgian lager. The beer pours a very pale yellow-gold with a huge white cap that disappears faster than a cockroach in the light. Lots of sour grains in the aroma with a weak hoppish note. Not a lot of good flavours in this, lots of acidic and metallic notes that make this a drain pour.

353 Birra Moretti Italy Lager 2.8

Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5

Every time I go to Italy, it is either this or Peroni that is the local draught. Both non-offensive, but neither worth drinking. The beer is a pale gold colour, clear, with a white head. The aroma is grains, and weak hops, with plenty of adjuncts. The flavour is typical of a North American pale lager with a grainy nature and plenty of off-notes.

354 Birra Moretti Baffo D’oro Italy Lager 3.5

Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7

This is my Italian lager of choice, although not every Italian joint carries it. A deep gold colour with a thin white cap. The aroma is biscuit malts, some herbal hoppiness, and a slight citrus note. Flavour is quite malty with hints of weak spice and hops. An excellent Italian beer.

355 Amsterdam Natural Blonde Lager Canada Lager 3.1

Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6

I've had several Amsterdam products over the years and I can't believe this is the first I've rated. A clear yellow beer with a white head. Lots of biscuit malt and flowery hops in the nose. A rather bland grainy lager that was reminiscent of Canadian craft brewers late in the 20th century.

356 Zywiec Poland Lager 2.1

Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4

They say you need to try everything under the sun in order top appreciate it. Well, I tried Zywiec, and I didn't appreciate it. It poured a clear pale straw yellow in colour with a huge white head. Lots of corn and sweet malt in the aroma, not much in the way of hops. The taste was very typical of Polish lagers, a tad sweet for me.

357 Kokanee Canada Lager 2.3

Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5

I've tried this beer several times over the years but just getting around to rating it now. It is a transparent beerl golden-orange in colour, with a frothy white head. Lots of garins in the nose with hints of herbal hops. Flavour is metallic grains and acidic hops. Not worth trying again....but I know it will happen.

358 Efes Pilsener Turkey Lager 1.2

Aroma: 3 | Appearance: 3 | Mouthfeel: 2 | Flavor: 2 | Overall: 2

Everywhere you go in Turkiye, this is the beer you find. It literally is everywhere. Unfortunately there is nothing new to say that already hasn't been said. Clear gold in colour, weak white cap that can't keep itself alive despite excessive carbonation. Nose is cereal grains, weak earthy hops. Flavour is weak giving the impression that this beer may be a lot less than 5% ABV.

359 Guinness Blonde American Lager Ireland Lager 2.0

Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4

A recent find at the liquor store. In most cases it is nice to see a brand expand its' lineup, but in the case of Guinness and brewing some of these new additions outside of Ireland, not such a great idea. Everything about this beer screams 'pale lager' from the light gold colour with the white head, the acidic grainy aroma, to the metallic grainy taste. Is this a result of brewing in a macro pale lager system, or just a bad recipe? Who knows, but not worth spending your money on.

360 James Ready Light Canada Light / Lite Lager 1.0

Aroma: 2 | Appearance: 2 | Mouthfeel: 2 | Flavor: 2 | Overall: 2

The label says this is beer. The colour, aroma, and flavour say this is water. Molson Exel has more aroma and flavour with only 1/8th the alcohol content. Very sad indeed!

361 Moosehead Light Canada Light / Lite Lager 1.3

Aroma: 3 | Appearance: 3 | Mouthfeel: 2 | Flavor: 2 | Overall: 3

It’s long been thought in Canada that when you get a ‘Light’ version of a macro beer, it is really just the same beer watered down. This is definitely my impression of Moosehead Light when compared to Moosehead Lager. The colour is definitely a lighter shade of gold, and the malty presence in the aroma and flavour is definitely muted.

362 Moosehead Cracked Canoe Canada Light / Lite Lager 1.0

Aroma: 2 | Appearance: 2 | Mouthfeel: 2 | Flavor: 2 | Overall: 2

It never ceases to amaze me that craft brewers can take some things like hops, malt, water, and yeast and make something decent out of it while macro brewers are stuck at that 5% level. For the last few years, the ‘Session IPA’ has been a ‘thing’ in Canada with ABVs as low as 3% and some of these beers very flavourful, yet Cracked Canoe tastes like somebody took 11.5oz of water and added 0.5oz of Moosehead and called it a beer.

363 Milwaukees Best Light United States Light / Lite Lager 1.0

Aroma: 2 | Appearance: 2 | Mouthfeel: 2 | Flavor: 2 | Overall: 2

I just noticed that the difference between this and the regular version is about 0.1%, which is the same as the tolerance level accepted by international standards organization for beer.

I went to many a party when I lived in the US in the 90s where Natty Lite made an appearance. It was never a beer worth drinking, but sometimes the only options one had if you didn't bring your own was Natty Lite, Bud Lite, Miller Lite, or Coors Lite.

365 Bud Light Chelada United States Light / Lite Lager 1.2

This is where I question the need to have to write 150 characters in order for the review to be valid. Bud Light Chelada, while interesting as a curiousity only, is awful!

Out of the major American Light macros, this is far and away the worst. However, when in a pinch, you can find this just about anywhere...................

367 Michelob Ultra United States Light / Lite Lager 1.7

Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 3 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 3 | Overall: 3

I was unaware that this was a low carbohydrate beer until I started entering this rating, I guess that pushes the beer up a notch, or not. It was still pretty bad.

You gotta have heart..........miles and miles and miles of heart. If you want a beer with great taste, there's only one place to start.....Molson Light has got heart! The beer is forgettable...........the jingle is not.

369 Molson Canadian Light Canada Light / Lite Lager 1.6

Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 3 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 3 | Overall: 3

I noticed the can in the picture and I have never ever seen this in a can. It's a typical Canadian light lager which tastes like watered down Canadian. Best avoided.

370 Molson Canadian 67 Sublime Canada Light / Lite Lager 1.5

Aroma: 3 | Appearance: 3 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 3 | Overall: 3

I tried this recently side by side with it's fruitless cousin Molson Canadian 67. I found that this was the better of the two, certainly a lot of emptiness though when it comes to the flavour (there's lime in this....where?).

This is a low carb alternative to people who don't want to get beer bellies from Molson Canadian, well, belly up to the table boys and give this a try....if it doesn't swear you off beer, I don't know what will!

Blech! Do I really have to write 150 characters when 'blech' should suffice. Tried this in a taste test with Coors Light, and Coors, and this was easily the most wretched waste of malt and hops (and tea) since time began.

This nis for the Canadian brewed version. It was tried immediately after trying their new Iced Tea beer, and frankly, it made this quite drinkable. Compared to craft beer, it's pretty bad, but compared to the Iced Tea version, it's a refreshing drinkable beer. It's Canada's best selling beer I hear.

374 Mill Street Organic Oktoberfest Canada Marzen / Oktoberfest 2.8

Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6

This is another in a long list of orange coloured beers that I have tried through the years. The aroma is primarily hoppy, but there is some graininess. The flavour is slightly bitter, with a little spiciness, but again, there is graininess.

375 Ayinger Oktober Fest-Märzen Germany Marzen / Oktoberfest 3.8

Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8

A recent find at my local LCBO outlet. Always been impressed with Ayinger products in the past. Honey gold in apperance, head is light and bubbly. Lacing is generous down the glass. Sweet grains dominate the nose with light hoppy notes. Flavour is mild sweet cereal grains and a slight bitter hoppy finish. Highly recommended
