526 | Moosehead Ice | Canada | Pale Lager | 1.5
Aroma: 3 | Appearance: 3 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 3 | Overall: 3 Back in the mid-90s, everybody and their cousin was making ice and dry beers. Some breweries had elaborate commercials to explain how they were made (lying through their teeth while doing it) and telling us how they were crisper and more refreshing. Thankfully, not once, did they claim to be more flavourful. The ‘ice’ treatment of Moosehead was simply a way to serve a higher alcohol version of Moosehead for a slightly higher price, and make more money. |

527 | Labatt Genuine Draft | Canada | Pale Lager | 1.4
Aroma: 3 | Appearance: 3 | Mouthfeel: 2 | Flavor: 3 | Overall: 3 Another joke of a beer from Canada's largest brewer. Whenever there's a trend, Labatt was always the first to jump on board (and Molson soon afterwards). The joke in Canada is that draught is simply watered down (Blue/50/Canadian/Export/Bud/Bud Light/Coors Light)........but this would qualify as it's very thin. |

528 | Molson XXX | Canada | Strong Lager | 1.4
Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 3 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 2 | Overall: 2 I’m not sure what this is supposed to be, but I do know what it is not….it’s not very good! Once you open the bottle you can smell the alcohol, and once you pour it into the glass you can smell the corn. The pour is devoid of any real head and is a light metallic gold in colour. The flavour is metallic grains, corn, and alcohol. If you aren’t accustomed to Malt Liquors, then you may have trouble choking this down. |

529 | Carling Draft | Canada | Pale Lager | 1.3
Aroma: 3 | Appearance: 3 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 2 | Overall: 2 This is a shitty beer. It's awful. This is one of those beers that I heard a lot about on the radio, but didn't live up to the hype. Having the Carling name told me right away it was a Molson budget beer. The lack of aroma, and stenchy taste confirmed the word 'budget' |

531 | Molson Canadian 6.0 Cold Shots | Canada | Pale Lager | 1.3
Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 2 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 2 | Overall: 2 Quite possibly the most phenolic smelling and metallic tasting product I have tried in a long time. The only reasoin you would drink this ice cold is to shotgun it and get drink faster...although there's less alcohol in one can of this compared to a refgular Canadian or an Export. |

532 | Moosehead Light | Canada | Light / Lite Lager | 1.3
Aroma: 3 | Appearance: 3 | Mouthfeel: 2 | Flavor: 2 | Overall: 3 It’s long been thought in Canada that when you get a ‘Light’ version of a macro beer, it is really just the same beer watered down. This is definitely my impression of Moosehead Light when compared to Moosehead Lager. The colour is definitely a lighter shade of gold, and the malty presence in the aroma and flavour is definitely muted. |

535 | Labatt Maximum Ice | Canada | Strong Lager | 1.2
Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 2 | Mouthfeel: 2 | Flavor: 2 | Overall: 2 Golden barf in a large bottle. I have never seen this in regular sized beer containers, only oversized ones. Tried it a party a few years (I was a chaperone) and it was the fast drunk method for a lot of the kids. They must have had iron stomachs because mine couldn't handle this. You would think that a 7.1% beer would be no problems after years of drinking Belgians, but this gives you an idea just how great those 10% Belgians are when 7.1% can turn your stomach! |

537 | Natural Ice | United States | Pale Lager | 1.2
Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 2 | Mouthfeel: 2 | Flavor: 2 | Overall: 2 Ah, good ol' Natty Ice, another party favourite from my American days, and another beer that I don't miss at all. If it's available at all in Canada...........pass it by. It's beers like this that gave rise to the 'Canadian Beer is better' myth of the 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s. |

539 | Efes Pilsener | Turkey | Lager | 1.2
Aroma: 3 | Appearance: 3 | Mouthfeel: 2 | Flavor: 2 | Overall: 2 Everywhere you go in Turkiye, this is the beer you find. It literally is everywhere. Unfortunately there is nothing new to say that already hasn't been said. Clear gold in colour, weak white cap that can't keep itself alive despite excessive carbonation. Nose is cereal grains, weak earthy hops. Flavour is weak giving the impression that this beer may be a lot less than 5% ABV. |

541 | Brew Brothers Antonios Original Garlic Pils | Canada | Spiced Beer | 1.0
Aroma: 2 | Appearance: 2 | Mouthfeel: 2 | Flavor: 2 | Overall: 2 I've read other reviews of this beer on other beer sites, and I don't feel so bad slamming this because everybody else has. The nut that thought of this idea should be lock-up in a jail cell full of garlic and see how long he lasts. This is a pale gold beer.....with a garlic clove on the bottom. The aroma is.....surprisingly...........heavy on the garlic. The flavour is......surprisingly.......heavy on the garlic. I have no choice but on a scale of 1 through 5, to give this 1 garlic clove! |

549 | Moosehead Cracked Canoe | Canada | Light / Lite Lager | 1.0
Aroma: 2 | Appearance: 2 | Mouthfeel: 2 | Flavor: 2 | Overall: 2 It never ceases to amaze me that craft brewers can take some things like hops, malt, water, and yeast and make something decent out of it while macro brewers are stuck at that 5% level. For the last few years, the ‘Session IPA’ has been a ‘thing’ in Canada with ABVs as low as 3% and some of these beers very flavourful, yet Cracked Canoe tastes like somebody took 11.5oz of water and added 0.5oz of Moosehead and called it a beer. |
