476 | Boddingtons Pub Ale | United Kingdom | Bitter | 3.9
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8 A golden amber pour, clear, with a huge off-white head. Ample amounts of citrus and caramel in the nose with hints of yeast and cereal malts. Well balanced palate between the malt and hops with just the right amount of sweetness in the mix. |

477 | Ilkley The Mayan | United Kingdom | Chocolate Stout | 3.4
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 I clearly did not read the bottle carefully, especially the part where it says 'chipotle'. I admit, I was taken very much by surprise by that. A dark brown pour, a littlen on the thin side with a chocolate brown cap. Coffee and chocolate dominate the aroma. The flavour is dominated by notes of coffee, roasted malt, and nuts...and then comes tyhe chipotle pepper, chugging down your throat like a French bullet train. |

478 | Young's Double Chocolate Stout | United Kingdom | Chocolate Stout | 5.0
Aroma: 10 | Appearance: 10 | Mouthfeel: 10 | Flavor: 10 | Overall: 10 Recently a few friends and I did a taste test on several Chocolate Stouts, and this was the winner by far. A great beer with some great colour, great aromas of coffee and chocolate, and a huge whallop of flavour to back it up. A perfect level of bitterness. |

479 | BrewDog Tokyo* | United Kingdom | Imperial Stout | 3.1
Aroma: 9 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 A powerful beer, but one of the thinnest watery stouts I have ever come across. It pours a motor oil black, but with a thinner consistency than say a DFH World Wide Stout. No head at all. Alcohol and roasted malt dominate the aroma, but one can also notice hints of vanilla, coffee, and molasses. The flavour is very sweet with more than a hint of alcohol. Not very balanced. Another epic failure by BrewDog |

480 | BrewDog Punk IPA | United Kingdom | IPA | 2.8
Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5 This beer is popping up everywhere, and it's nothing special. Pale gold in colour, small white head, and even it goes away quickly. The aroma is very piney, some citrus and floral notes and malt. The flavour is what it is....grassy malt up front, and a hoppy ending. |

481 | Fuller's Golden Pride | United Kingdom | English Strong Ale | 4.0
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8 One of the 6 beers brought in as part of the Fuller's release at the LCBO. THis is a very mellow smooth beer. A clear amber pour, lots of sweet stuff in the aroma like chocolate, caramel, and hops. Tastes great with a sweetness that lingers. |

483 | Fuller's Past Masters Double Stout | United Kingdom | Imperial Stout | 4.5
Aroma: 9 | Appearance: 9 | Mouthfeel: 9 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 9 One of the 6 beers brought in as part of the Fuller's release at the LCBO. This is the easiest drinking Impy Stout I have ever had. A deep brownish colour with a thin head. Lots of chocolate and cocoa in the aroma and flavour and absolutely no hints of alcohol. |

486 | Fuller's India Pale Ale | United Kingdom | IPA | 3.9
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8 One of the 6 beers brought in as part of the Fuller's release at the LCBO. A perfect styled English IPA ()they did after all invent the style). Americans might consider this to be underhopped, but that 'underhopping' creates a nice balance between the malt and hops. |

488 | Black Sheep Monty Pythons Holy Grail | United Kingdom | Extra Special Bitter | 3.4
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 This beer is not the holy grail, but it is still very drinkable. A light copper pour, some cloudiness, and a white cap. The aroma is light fruit, some caramel, some cereal, and herbal hops. The flavour is slightly sweet with a hoppy finish. |

489 | Black Sheep Ale | United Kingdom | Extra Special Bitter | 3.8
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8 Black Sheep Ales are a regular at the local liquor store, and a guilty pleasure of mine. This is a slightly hazed golden copper colour with a small thin off white head. The aroma is light caramel, grains, earthy hops, and some nuttiness. Flavour is quite plentiful in the form of nutty caramel, some grains, and a bitter finish. Well done. |

490 | Fuller's ESB | United Kingdom | Extra Special Bitter | 4.1
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 8 One of the premier brewers in the world, and this is a very well done ESB. While Scandinavian and American brewers continue to try and push brewing to the edges, Fullers continues to take time tested recipes and make them just like they always have, with great results. This ESB is a perfect example, a reddish-brown pour, translucent, with rich caramel aromas complemented by a creamy tan coloured head and resinous hop aromas. The flavour is toffee and citrus. Heavenly! |

491 | Fuller's London Porter | United Kingdom | Porter | 4.9
Aroma: 10 | Appearance: 10 | Mouthfeel: 9 | Flavor: 10 | Overall: 10 Quite possibly the best porter brewed anywhere in the world. A solid coca cola colour with a thick creamy light brown head. Rich notes of roasted malt, dark chocolate, and coffee fill the nostrils before later tingling the tongue with the addition of dark fruits and caramel. An excellent beer. |

492 | Fuller's London Pride | United Kingdom | Extra Special Bitter | 4.5
Aroma: 9 | Appearance: 9 | Mouthfeel: 9 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 9 Fullers has mastered the art of brewing traditional British style ales. London Pride is one such al. A caramel coloured beer wiuth rich notes of light fruit and citrus from traditional earthy hops. Everything comes together in the flavour with the sweet caramel notes up front and a bitter hop finish. You can’t go wrong with Fullers. |

493 | Keltek Golden Lance | United Kingdom | Blonde Ale | 2.6
Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5 This is a recent purchase from the beer store monopoly in Ontario. It follows the CAMRA doctrine, yet I have it in a bottle…try that on for size (where’s my cask?!?!?!?!). A golden yellow pour with a bubbly white head that says ‘see ya later’ after a few seconds. Typical British aromatic notes with grass, inoffensive hop notes, and yeast. Flavour is rather dull with a decent balance between bland grains and bland hops. Sometimes I think that ‘Real Ale’ is not for me. |

494 | Badger Fursty Ferret | United Kingdom | Bitter | 3.4
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 Purchased at the Liquor Control Board of Ontario Store. Beer poured a slightly hazed golden brown colour with a very thin tan coloured ring for a head. The aroma was weak caramel, cereal malts, and floral hops. The flavour was sweet with caramel and malt before giving way to a bitter hoppy finish. Quite good. |

Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 7 Purchased at the Liquor Control Board of Ontario Store. A clear copper coloured beer with a weak white cap that lingers for a while. The aroma is caramel, yeast, and cereal malts. The flavour is toffee, yeast, and grains. A very easy drinking beer. |

Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 Purchased at the Liquor Control Board of Ontario Store. Beer pours a weak clouded golden colour with a generous bubbly white head. 497 | Blue Moon Belgian White / Belgian Moon | United States | Witbier | 2.8
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 While MolsonCoors and MillerCoors try to pass this off as a craft beer, it’s not. A hazed light yellow pour with a huge white head. The aroma is weak spices, light wheat notes, and tropical fruit. The flavour is metallic wheat, with hints of orange and coriander. |

498 | Goose Island Endless IPA | United States | IPA | 2.9
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 Unfortunately, the purchase of Goose Island has resulted in the beer brewing brewed outside the Chicago area, and in this case, a Labatt facility in Montreal. The beer pours a pale yellow colour, slightly clouded, with a white head. Aroma is tropical fruit and floral notes. Flavour is all tropical fruit, any malt aroma and flavour has been lost. |

499 | Goose Island IPA | United States | IPA | 3.0
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 The flagship beer of the Goose Island brewery, now brewed in Canada…yay? Comes with a twist-off cap. When did twist-offs become part of the craft beer movement? Anyway, the beer pours a translucent pale copper colour with a thin tan coloured ring. The aroma is caramel, biscuit, and citrus. The flavour is similar. I can’t help but wonder if Lake Michigan water is somehow better than St. Lawrence river water. |

500 | Goose Island Honkers Ale | United States | Extra Special Bitter | 3.0
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 An English style pale ale that seems more American in style. A clear copper pour with a light tan coloured foamy head. Aroma is caramel malts, light fruits, and a bit heavy on the citrusy hops for an English style ale. Flavour is nicely balanced between the caramel and citrus, but still not to style. |
