Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 9 Another fine draft from Obriens in San Diego. This was a huge hoppy beer with a distinct earthy and pine filled aroma. The appearance was dark orange with a moderate white head. Some oranges and grapefruit swimming around. The aftertaste has a sour effect. Good on ya! |

178 | AleSmith Wee Heavy Scotch Ale | United States | Scottish Ale | 4.2
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 9 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 9 Had this one at the Liars Club. A good malty and nutty aroma. This one was super thick and had a heavy alcohol presence. There were some dark fruits and caramel present in the flavor. A slow sipper indeed but a good one to have a pint of. Id like to try it again. |

179 | Paulaner Salvator | Germany | Doppelbock | 4.2
Aroma: 9 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 9 This beer is a dark brownish/red color with a moderate head. The aroma is excellent with some caramel, grapes, oak, brown sugar, and alcohol. The flavor is quite sweet with a nice punch of toffee, sour apples, molasses, and raisins. The mouthfeel is quite thick and syrupy. Some alcohol does show through with this beer. This one would certainly be a good one for a cold night. |

Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 9 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 9 This does indeed have a soda-ish smell to it. A big roasted malt and chocolate aroma and one of the most pleasing smells Ive experienced in a porter. The flavor is a bit smokey and decently hopped with some chocolate, raisins, and vanilla. This is some good stuff. |
