2426 Il Vicino Elsas Hop Elixir United States Imperial IPA 4.2

Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 9 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 9

A yellowish orange appearance. The aroma is full of perfume, orange peels, and pine. The smell alone draws you in. This one is quite hoppy with some sour notes mainly grapefruit. A definite winner!

2427 Heavyweight Old Salty United States English Barleywine 3.8

Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 7

A dark orange appearance with a medium head. Some oranges, cherries, and a whole bunch of alcohol showing in the flavor. I seem to detect some coconut flavors in there, am I crazy? The aftertaste is quite sweet. This was a good one but not very well balanced.

2428 Lagunitas Olde Gnarly Wine United States American Barleywine 4.0

Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 9 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8

A dark orange to amber appearance. The aroma is more similar to a hopped up pale ale than your standard barleywine, some grapefruits and piney. An orange and grapefruit flavor with a definite hop presence and not much alcohol showing. Overall this is very good and well balanced. In the west coast mold for sure.

2429 Great Lakes Barrel Aged Blackout Stout United States Imperial Stout 4.3

Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 9 | Mouthfeel: 9 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 9

A solid black appearance with almost no head. The aroma is chocolate, coffee, licorice, and burbon. The flavor is somewhat dry and is overrun by the whiskey and coffee flavors. Some chocolate is detectable though. This was good and usually I prefer the barrel aged version, however I think I like the regular Blackout Stout better.

2430 Weyerbacher Raspberry Imperial Stout United States Imperial Stout 4.0

Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 9 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8

This poured a solid black color with a pinkish beige head. The aroma was chocolate, alcohol, and raspberries. The flavor was quite sour with some milk chocolate and coffee flavors. The mouthfeel was grainy and it had a very carbonated presence. I enjoyed it.

2431 Weyerbacher Blithering Idiot United States English Barleywine 3.5

Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7

A brownish appearance with no head whatsovever, hmmmm. A big orange and brown sugar aroma. The flavor is somewhat sour with a lemon presence but contains its share of dark fruits also. The palate was a little bit thin to me. Not bad but better barleywines certainly exist.

2432 Smuttynose Wheat Wine United States Wheatwine 3.6

Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7

An orange appearance with a large head. A lemon and pine aroma is present. The flavor is extremely sweet to a cloying level with some lemons, apricots, and pears present. This beer is complex but too big and sweet to have more than a few. I dont think Id want to tackle a bomber of this on my own. Overall pretty good and complex

Ok now the notes are getting sloppy, but not as bad as some Ive written. A dark orange appearance with a moderate head. The flavor is hoppy with some dark fruits present. A very malty take on the style. A very good and well balanced beer.

2434 Troutbrook Thomas Hooker Imperial Porter United States Imperial Porter 3.8

Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7

A black appearance with a beige head. The aroma is full of chocolate and oatmeal. The flavor is quite dry and almost burnt with some dark chocolate, coffee, and roasted malt standing out. The finish is quite bitter. Perhaps this should replace the shitty breakroom coffee at work.

This was in KPs rating whore cooler. Awesome! A murky orange appearance. This tasted very similar to those orange-cicles I used to get as a kid. Very creamy and sweet. This one isnt too complex but it tastes really good.

Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7

A very decent brown ale we have here. A reddish brown appearance with a moderate head. A very malty beer with a rather thin palate. Alot of nutmeg was present in the flavor. I also picked up on some dark fruit and cherries.

2437 Snoqualmie Falls Wildcat IPA United States IPA 3.4

A yellow apperance with a very large head. This one focuses to much on the lemon flavor for me to be wowed by it. It also has a strong grapefruit presence. Somewhat bitter but sweet also. It was alright.

2439 Miller 1855 Celebration Lager United States Pale Lager 1.7

Aroma: 2 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4

Pale yellow appearance thats so light you could read the newspaper through the beer. A corn filled hay aroma. The flavor is almost non existant but what little flavor exists is bad. It leaves some annoying cream corn and over buttered popcorn flavor in your mouth. But what better way to celebrate 150 years of Miller.....than with even more swill.

2440 Sea Dog Raspberry Wheat Ale United States Fruit Beer 2.8

Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5

A dark golden color with a moderate white head. The aroma is mainly raspberries with a hint of wheat bread. The flavor falls flat and not way you expected considering the strong fruit aroma. The raspberry presence isnt that strong and Im picking up some wheat and corn. The mouthfeel is rather dry and carbonated. Nothing much to this one.

2441 Shipyard Battleground Ale United States American Wheat 2.6

Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 5

A cloudy yellow appearance with a moderate to large head. The aroma is faint lemons and dishwashing soap. The flavor is Land-O-Lakes butter, lemons, and a hint of grass. The mouthfeel is oily and carbonated. Oh and my bottle has a picture of Sherman on it. I guess Sherman is going to burn Atlanta again so to speak. Pass.

2442 Shipyard Ringwood Old Thumper United States Extra Special Bitter 3.3

Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7

A copper color with a small beige head and some decent lacing. The aroma is raspberries, a lot of caramel, and some toffee. The flavor is full of caramel,. vanilla extract, raspberries, and apples. A very sweet but somewhat thin beer. A little less complex than I like my ESB’s to be. Overall not bad.

2443 Shipyard Fuggles IPA United States IPA 3.4

Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7

A dark copper color with a moderate head. A buttered popcorn and granny smith apple aroma. The flavor is caramel, apples, and cherries. An herbal presence does exist. The mouthfeel is a bit thin but a definite bitter flavor does exist. Very little of the pine and citrus fruit found in many other IPAs. Pretty good stuff

Its the yup its a beer kind of beer. Its really not to far from water. Its offers a kind of grassy taste to it. But overall its a decent macro lager and better than the usual suspects. Pretty good for what it is.

2445 Bells Cherry Stout United States Fruit Stout 3.8

Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8

A black appearance with a beige head. A cherry, chocolate, and charcoal aroma is present. The flavor is rather dry and sour with a big coffee presence. This tastes like a lambic/stout black and tan. This had a medium body and a rather sour finish and some sweetness on the tounge. Good stuff.

2446 The Duck-Rabbit Milk Stout United States Milk Stout 3.8

Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8

A pitch black appearance with a moderate beige head. The aroma is chocolate milk and raisins. The flavor juggles being bitter and sour oddly enough. I taste dark chocolate, raisins, whipped cream, and roasted coffee. A creamy and slighty bitter mouthfeel. Pretty good stuff. And this doesnt contain the hops of the rabbit but instead the roasting of the duck. Boooo! Get off the stage......tomatoes

2447 Highland Kashmir IPA United States IPA 3.5

Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7

A yellowish/orange appearance with a moderate head. The aroma is apricots and peaches with a slight perfume presence. The flavor is quite good but rather mild with some more peaches showing through than anything. Some oranges and grassy hops showing through. The aftertaste is where the bitterness shows up. Overall I like it!

2448 Lost Coast Alleycat Amber Ale United States Amber Ale 3.0

Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 6

This poured a dark copper color. A faint aroma of notably caramel and grapefruit. Some slight citrus showing in the flavor mainly grapefruit and oranges. A slight nutty character to it, similar to myself. The body is a little bit thin on this one. Nothing amazing but about what you would expect for an Amber.

2449 Left Hand Jackmans Pale Ale United States American Pale Ale 2.8

Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 6

A copper color with little head. The aroma is lemon detergent, orange, and pine. Some mild citrus flavors and not much else. No bitterness, no complexity, not much of nothing. Overall dull. I just got a copy of the home game when I thought I was going to win the car. A letdown on many levels.

A dark amber appearance with little head. The aroma is full of caramel, honey, and other malty things. The flavor is rather sweet with very little hop presence. An herbal and grapefruit taste. The palate is a little bit thin. This is ok but when thinking GD think of something else.
