152 | Wittekerke | Belgium | Witbier | 3.2
Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 7 My first "canned Belgian" which to me sounds like an oxymoron. Color is merky yellow similar to grapefruit juice. Aroma has nothing to say. Flavor is slighty sweet but mostly sour with wheat, bananas, lemon, and grapefruit. It kind of reminds me of that citrus drink Five Alive. Im not really a fan of this style thus far but this is a much better choice than Blue Moon and cheaper! Overall its fairly good but this would not be a session beer for sure. |

154 | Du Bocq The Knights Ale | Belgium | Belgian Ale | 3.5
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 If such a style existed as Belgian Light this would be an example. Aroma is outstanding and probably the best attribute of the beer. Appearance is cloudy golden. Flavor is a little weak with a hint of fruit, similar to a Sunny Delight. Palate is watery. Bottom line its an easy drinking Belgian for a hot day. If one is looking for complexity you might want to keep on looking. I'll take it for what it is. |

155 | Abbaye des Rocs Brune | Belgium | Belgian Strong Ale | 4.3
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 10 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 9 Aroma is amazing, mainly raisins and chocolate, flavor is of chocolate, raisins and dare I say lemons. Apperance is a musky brown color. Alcohol is not hidden very well but that may be due to the fact Im drinking it at a slightly warmer temp. To me this isnt as complex as the Grand Cru but its still complex nonetheless. A good belgian. |

156 | Brugse Straffe Hendrik Blond | Belgium | Belgian Ale | 3.6
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 This beer IMO is the Belgian lawnmower beer. Aroma is of apricots and pears. Flavor is a hint of fruit and spice. Palate is a bit watery. This would be a good intro into the world of Belgians for someone not willing to let go of lagers. Overall its a decent Belgian blonde ale, nothing really complex but still flavorful. And a good "beer geek summer beer" |

157 | Bush 7% (Clovis) | Belgium | Belgian Strong Ale | 3.6
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 7 I did not like the Bush 12% it was an alcohol overkill, I bought this with much skepticism. But this is what the 12% should be. Yeast and malt with a hop punch. No overkill of alcohol. A good belgian for a good price - $2 a 12oz bottle. Fruit flavor with a complex palate. Caramel apples at the local carnival is what comes to mind. Check this one out. |

158 | Chimay Cinq Cents (White) | Belgium | Abbey Tripel | 3.8
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 8 These days this is probably my favorite Chimay. A very nicely done Tripel. A murky and dirty yellow appearance. Lots of apricots and peaches in the nose. A somewhat sour and dry taste with some oranges, pears, and peaches showing in the flavor. A spicy and somewhat sour aftertaste. It hides the alcohol quite well. Good one! |

159 | Chimay Première (Red) | Belgium | Abbey Dubbel | 3.9
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8 Murky brown color with a medium head. Fruit filled aroma. A malty flavor with some dark fruit, caramel, and chocolate. I would almost call this one Chimay Blue light. A nice Dubbel and this is quickly becoming one of my favorite styles. |

160 | Delirium Nocturnum | Belgium | Belgian Strong Ale | 3.6
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 Always scared to try this because of a label with a pink elephant standing in a colorful swirl. It looks like a funky acid trip or something. Aside from that it was a decent belgian. Very malty and less complex than some with a thin mouthfeel. A little spicy and brown appearance. Doesnt rank high amongst Belgians but a good beer anyway. |

163 | Mort Subite Cassis | Belgium | Fruit Lambic | 3.5
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 7 Appearance is a dark copper color with a large head. Aroma is currant. Flavor is currant and sour jolly rancher apple candy. Aftertaste is a little sour with a carbonated mouthfeel. Not a bad lambic but a little to artifical for my liking. |

164 | Dupont Foret Organic Saison | Belgium | Saison | 4.5
Aroma: 9 | Appearance: 9 | Mouthfeel: 9 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 9 Wow! The aroma is outstanding. Very floral and full of pears, peaches, and oranges. The appearance is a yellowish orange. The flavor is somewhat sour with a spicy citrus fruit flavor. You can hardly taste the alcohol. This beer has a very delicate flavor but even a hophead like myself can appreciate the craftsmanship of this beer. Man is this great stuff! |

166 | t Smisje Blond | Belgium | Belgian Ale | 3.3
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 7 A cloudy yellow appearance with little head. A lemon, detergent, yeasty aroma. The flavor is heavy on the limes and the lemons. Sounds like a Sprite almost and its close. A dose of cloves and mint leaves in the flavor. An interesting session ale but nothing amazing either. |

Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8 Wow this was a good one. A sharp alcohol aroma with some caramel going on. The alcohol really hits you on the first sip. The beer isnt too sweet. Its well balanced but maybe a bit thin. In the mold of some the abt/quads Ive had but maybe not quite to that level. Overall a good one! |

Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 10 | Mouthfeel: 10 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 9 A dark black appearance with a carbonated looking white head. The aroma contains a hint of alcohol, plums, chocolate, and coffee. A very complex flavor with some cherries, chocolate, dates, coffee, nutmeg, and cinammon. The finish is sweet and a little warming from the alcohol. A damn fine beer! |

172 | De Proef Knock Out (K-O) | Belgium | Abbey Tripel | 4.2
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 9 The beer poured a cloudy yellow/orange color with a rather large head. The aroma is quite citrusy and floral with some lemons and peaches. I also detect some whipped cream and toffee in the nose. The flavor is somewhat sour with some lemons, vanilla, honey, peaches, and butterscotch. A little bit of spice is also present. The mouthfeel is very smooth and creamy. The alcohol is hidden extremely well. Overall this was a great Tripel. |

174 | Gouyasse Saison Voisin | Belgium | Saison | 3.6
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 Well this one was a gusher, now that I’m done cleaning lets get started. The appearance is a murky orange/brown color with, as I said, a ton of carbonation. The aroma contains some caramel, brown sugar, apricot and spices. The flavor contains more brown sugar, a ton of caramel, and spices. Some citrus shows in the aftertaste. Overall this one is pretty good. |
