76 | Liefmans Frambozen | Belgium | Fruit Lambic | 4.1
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 10 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8 This was a purple beer. My first one of those. Well this one was quite interesting. Raspberries dominate everything about this beer. The flavor was sweet but mostly tart. Some muskiness was detected. I was impressed even though Im not usually a big fan of raspberries. The mouthfeel was quite carbonated and sweet. This is my #600 rating! |

78 | St. Bernardus Tripel | Belgium | Abbey Tripel | 4.1
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 9 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 9 The aroma is freaking awesome with some cloves, citrus, pine, and spices. The apperance is a murky yellowish orange color with a large head. The flavor has a nice citrus punch with some orange peel and coriander flavor. There's some wheat and peppery spices present. This one is very nicely balanced, and unlike the Prior 8, its not overcarbonated. The aftertaste is yeasty and sour. This is just a damn fine beer. |

79 | St. Bernardus Abt 12 | Belgium | Abbey Quadrupel | 4.3
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 9 | Mouthfeel: 9 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 9 A chocolate, raisin, caramel, and oak filled aroma. Appearance is a dark brown with a large head. The flavor is quite rich with some roasted nuts, grapes, raisins, cherry, oak, maple syrup, and caramel. A very complex sipper this one is. My only complaint with this beer is the over carbonation. It has a very spritzy mouthfeel. Regardless this beer rocks! |

80 | Stella Artois | Belgium | Lager | 2.9
Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 The apperance is a pale yellow color with a moderate white head. The aroma is hay and lemons. The flavor is pretty tame with some malt accents showing through. Not a bad beer for mowing the lawn but it offers very little complexity. A good simple lager that does offend nor impress. |

86 | Augustijn Abbey Ale | Belgium | Abbey Dubbel | 3.4
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 7 Last beer sampled on San Diego trip. An amber color with some good lacing. The flavor is fruity and spicy. My palate has been destroyed by big IPA’s all week so I cant taste much at this point. Some alcohol showing through in the aftertaste. Not bad. |

87 | Affligem Blonde | Belgium | Belgian Ale | 3.2
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 7 A yellowish orange appearance. A creamy head with some nice lacing. The aroma is....sniff....sniff....almost non-existant. A very mild lemon and dust aroma. The flavor is nothing to write home about either. Quite yeasty and wheaty almost with a hint of bitterness. It leaves a bit of sourness on the tounge. A good beligan lawnmower beer. Refreshing and not complex. Alright by me anyway. |

88 | Pauwel Kwak | Belgium | Belgian Strong Ale | 2.6
Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 Ah I wasn’t impressed with this. It looked like iced tea when it was poured. The taste was similar to lemon iced tea with some caramel notes. This one was thin and watery. There is some alcohol showing through the water. This Kwak is Wack! Boring. |

89 | Gulden Draak | Belgium | Belgian Strong Ale | 3.9
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8 This one was a reddish brown color with a mininal head. It smelt like cherries and alcohol. The alcohol really comes through but it doesn’t spoil the experience. A strong cherries and grape flavor. This one was quite sweet and warming. A nice one for a cold night. Overall it was very brandy like and a good one. |

90 | Bornem Tripel | Belgium | Abbey Tripel | 3.7
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 8 The bier poured a light murky yellow color with a very large fluffy white head. The aroma is lemony with a nice yeasty overtone. The flavor is somewhat spicy with some ginger and lemons. I also catch some bananas and wheat. The aftertaste is slight sour with a nice soft mouthfeel. Not a Triple that will cause you to dance the gig, but it is pleasent in all its simplicity. |

Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 7 I guess I’m not old enough to enjoy prunes anyhow....A murky amber appearance. 99 | Chimay Grande Réserve (Blue) | Belgium | Belgian Strong Ale | 3.4
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 7 This was my first belgian and after this I was hooked, very complex flavor with grapes, raisins, vanilla, cherries, and other fruit lurking in the background. Pours dark with a nice head. Aroma of fruit and a hint of alcohol. RERATE : Many Belgians later this is not as great as I thought. Its has a mild yet flavorful taste but I dont think it runs with the big dogs of this style. Overrated for sure. The Red and White are better. Dull at this point. A disgrace to be in the BP top 5 I hope to see it gone soon. |
