251 | McAuslan St. Ambroise Noire à L'Avoine / McAuslan St. Ambroise Oatmeal Stout | Canada | Oatmeal Stout | 3.7
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 8 A black appearance with a moderate tan head. The aroma is rather mild and contains some chocolate, oatmeal, and a hint of coffee. The flavor is slightly bitter with some chocolate, oatmeal, dark fruit. Doesn’t seem to live up to the hype of the past but still a solid stout. |

252 | Unibroue 17 | Canada | Belgian Strong Ale | 3.6
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 A deep amber to brown color with a large carbonated head. The aroma contains some chocolate, bananas, and spices. The flavor is rather malty with some bananas, chocolate, spices, and cloves. Overall Ive never been blown away by Uni anniversary beers but this one will do. |

253 | McAuslan St. Ambroise Pale Ale | Canada | American Pale Ale | 3.7
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 8 This poured an amber color with a beige head. The aroma contains some citrus, caramel, and a yeasty presence. The flavor is well balanced. I taste some citrus mainly lemons and grapefruit but also get more yeasty notes along with some caramel and toffee. This one seems to walk the line between being an APA and an EPA. But regardless its a different beer and quite good. |

254 | McAuslan St. Ambroise Blé de L'Apricot / McAuslan St. Ambroise Apricot Wheat | Canada | American Wheat | 3.2
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 7 This poured an orange color with a minimal white head. The aroma contains a huge wack of apricots. The flavor is rather weak with more apricots and a hint of caramel also. If you like apricots you found Xanadu brother because little else is going on with this beer. Its a refreshing if not complex beer so good for a thirst quencher anyway. |

255 | Trader Joe's Vintage Ale 2005 | Canada | Belgian Strong Ale | 4.2
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 9 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 9 Dark browish black appearance with a large head. The aroma is raisins, chocolate, rum, and gingerbread. The flavor is rather sweet with a heavy alcohol presence. I taste figs, caramel, chocoalte and ginger. The beer has a doughy presence with a warming effect. Good stuff. |

257 | Phillips Amnesiac Double IPA | Canada | Imperial IPA | 3.3
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 7 A dark orange appearance with a slight orange citrusy aroma. The flavor is light perfume and a subdue orange flavor. The mouthfeel is creamy and sweet. This beer was not very bitter at all. Not a bad beer but lacking for the style. Perhaps its called Amnesiac because it’s easily forgotten. |

258 | Unibroue Édition 2004 | Canada | Belgian Strong Ale | 2.7
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 5 The aroma is funky with citrus and spices. Smells like someone left the chicken w/orange sauce in the fridge a little too long! The appearance is a dark orange with a very large head. The flavor is like dumping an entire spice rack into a belgian ale. Its very confused. Its sour here, sweet there, and spicy to and fro. There is also a bit of dough present. What? What? What? The aftertaste is some sweet and sour sauce and pepper spice thing. This beer is a big ol' confused mess. |

Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 8 This beer had a dark amber appearance with little head. The aroma is oranges, caramel, and alcohol. The flavor was rather sweet with some brown sugar, caramel, and light citrus notes. The alcohol was detectable but not overwhelming. Overall a pretty good barleywine. |

261 | Bièropholie Calumet Grand Chef | Canada | Smoked Ale | 3.9
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 9 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8 A dark brown to black appearance. A very smokey aroma on this one. Some malt presence in the flavor but tons of smoke. I taste me some bacon, brats, and jimmy dean sausage. It really balances the malt and smoke well. However if you dont like smokey beers stay far away. I love them myself. Overall a very nice beer! |

262 | Trader Joe's Vintage Ale 2006 | Canada | Abbey Dubbel | 3.9
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 8 A black appearance with a bubbly white head. Some licorice, chocolate, and mint in the aroma. The flavor really shows the alcohol coming through. This beer bends itself rather sweet with chocolate, raisins, licorice, and mint. Overall a nice but quite different beer. |

265 | Unibroue Seigneuriale | Canada | Belgian Strong Ale | 3.4
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 An orange to amber color with a rocky white head. The aroma was brown sugar, oranges, and pears. A yeasty presence in the beer but that’s a common Unibroue trait I think. A malty flavor with some assorted fruits, brown sugar, and honey. This one was pretty good. |

266 | Unibroue 16 | Canada | Abbey Tripel | 3.6
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8 I was losing faith in Uni anniversary beers but this one changed my mind. And orange to amber apperance with a carbonated white head. The aroma was very spicy with a yeasty quality. Unlike the 2004 the spices were toned down which is alright by me! Some caramel, oranges, and coriander in the flavor. A very carbonated mouthfeel. |

267 | Unibroue Blanche de Chambly | Canada | Witbier | 3.7
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 This poured a cloudy yellow color with a minimal white head. The aroma is spicy with some coriander present. There is also some oranges and lemon in the nose. In my nose I mean, beers don’t have noses. The flavor is nice with some bready notes, orange peels, and lemons. The palate is a little thin. Overall I thought this was a world class wit but my problem is this. Witbier are for sessions on hot days. At $10 a 4 pack, it can never be that for me. |

268 | Moosehead | Canada | Pale Lager | 2.7
Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 5 Ah another green bottle classic! Sniffing the glass is similar to smelling a freshly cut lawn, loads of grass and hay with some hops peeping out. Appearance is, well, yellow! Flavor is quite like any lager with a touch of hops and just a hint of green bottle skunk to kick in the flavor. This isnt an awful beer, its ok and falls right in there with the Heinekens and Becks of the world. |

269 | Unibroue 11 | Canada | Belgian Strong Ale | 3.5
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 7 I dont get these Unibroue anniversary beers. I was none too impressed with the 10 and the 11 is nothing great either. Aroma is faint and spicy. Appearance is close to a lager. Flavor is crisp with a tiny hint of citrus fruit like pears and oranges. Alcohol on this and the Unibroue 10 is masked extremely well. Palate is fairly dull but has a peppery kick. Overall this a decent beer but nothing that fantastic. Overall its pretty good if you are looking for a less complex Belgain with a high ABV that is masked well. |

270 | Unibroue Don De Dieu | Canada | Abbey Tripel | 3.6
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 Aroma is faint. Appearance is golden with the usual large foamy head typical of Unibroue beer. Smooth taste with a hint of oranges and peaches. Quite spicy and citrusy. Good easy drinking beer but not quite running with the big dogs of the Belgian Ale class. I'll say its good but not great. Big plus - it hides the alcohol well. |

271 | Labatt Blue | Canada | Pale Lager | 2.5
Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 6 Hated by Canadians like Bud is hated here in the states. Otherwise typical lager good enough for a hot day or a night of pounding down beers. Goes down easy and doesnt have that metal ting of alot of American swill. Still just average. |
