A murky orange appearance with a small fading white head. The aroma contains citrus as expected with some oranges and lemons. The malty aspect of the aroma really takes over with sweet potatoes, caramel, and brown sugar. Also a hint of a pill bottle. The flavor is slightly bitter with some lemons and oranges showing. I also taste some caramel and brown sugar. A heavy herbal presence in this one. The palate is rather thin. Overall not bad but quite off the wall for an IPA. Its ok anyway.

Chocolate, roasted, and crystal malts give flavors of hazelnuts and mocha. Two big scoops of wheat malt make it light bodied. - Malts: Pale, Wheat, Munich, Crystal-40, Chocolate. - Hops: Mt. Hood, Tradition.

A dark golden color with a white head. Aroma contains some rye and caramel. Flavor is slightly bitter with some citrus and rye. The finish is a nice balance of the bitter and malty presence. Good one.

This poured a dark brown color with a beige head. The aroma contain a ton of coffee with some nutmeg and caramel. The flavor is rather bitter with coffee, caramel, toffee, and some nutty flavors coming through. This is like a cross between a brown ale and a coffee stout to me. Lots of malty and bitter elements to this one. Overall a good beer.

The appearance is an almost black color with a carbonated white head. The aroma contains hints of smoke, chocolate, coffee, mocha, and vanilla extract. The flavor is somewhat bitter and dry with more smoke in the flavor than the aroma. It also contains some hints of dark chocolate and licorice. The finish is quite bitter and dry. Overall a fairly nice porter especially for those who aren’t into sweeter porters.

A definite blueberry aroma to this one. Copper colored with a moderate head. The flavor is somewhat sweet/sour with a rather mild blueberry presence. This a well balance thirst quencher if little else. Not bad.

A nutty dark fruit nose. A brown appearance with a rather small head. The flavor is very straight forward with a slighty sour nutty taste. This is a pretty standard brown ale but enjoyable. Nothing much going on here but it will do.

Dark black appearance with a moderate tan head. Aroma is chocolate, coffee, and charcoal. Now I see why they have the word COAL in the name. The flavor is quite dry with a smokey coffee taste. There is no sweetness to be found. An interesting porter indeed.

A faint ginger and honey aroma. Appearance is a murky yellow/orange appearance. The flavor is wheat, honey, and just a hint of ginger. What’s going on with this one really? This is not a horrible beer just horribly boring. Glad I only picked up a 12oz. Next please!

A copper color with a beige head. The aroma contains some caramel, corn, and spices. The flavor is rather dull with a slight malty presence. This tastes more like Michelob Amber Bock or Shiner Bock than an o-fest. The finish is somewhat dry. Overall not very good.

WTF is this beer. A golden color with a white head. Aorma is brown sugar, citrus, and death. The flavor is like cheap homebrew version of citrus and yams. Had some ice tea type flavor in the finish. What a mess! This sucks really...

This poured a golden color with a white head. The aroma contains some mild citrus, grass, and fail. Um how is this an IPA? Very mild citrus flavors with no bitterness. This would be a great session beer to slam during a game but in the IPA world no way. No pine, perfume, no bite and 4.2%? No IPA is ever below 5% and should probably be at least 6%. Im not blaming RB cause the brewery calls it an IPA..... This is a circus all right, confusing, overpriced, and no real value.

I’m glad I got about a 4-5oz sample on this one instead of ordering a big ol pint of it. The appearance is quite nice, black with a light off white head. The aroma contains some chocolate and a ton of vanilla. The flavor is really sweet with way too much vanilla extract flavor going on. There is also some molasses and chocolate. The palate is too thin for the style. Overall ok in small amounts, but more than a pint would annoy the crap out of you.

Uh anyway a reddish brown apperance with a beige head. A chocolate and caramel aroma is present. The flavor consists mainly of chocolate with some dark fruits lurking. A crisp finish. Pretty good beer.

Last beer sampled on San Diego trip. An amber color with some good lacing. The flavor is fruity and spicy. My palate has been destroyed by big IPA’s all week so I cant taste much at this point. Some alcohol showing through in the aftertaste. Not bad.

This poured a goldoen color with a white head. The aroma contains some lemons, hay, and a bit of banana. The flavor is a bit sweet with some lemons, vanilla, and ginger. This is an interesting beer indeed. Overall I liked it.

Dark golden appearance with a large head and good lacing. Aroma is sugary and floral. Flavor is quite sweet with some diacetyl noticeable. It has a slight sour twangy taste. This one isn't bad at all. My only complaint is the sugary sweet aftertaste. This will do well for a light lager especially since it was less expensive than a sixer of swill.

What an interesting idea this was and it worked out quite well. A murky brown appearance. Some dark fruit, cherries, and caramel in the aroma. The flavor consists of toffee, chocolate, caramel, and nutmeg. A rather sweet finish on this one. Overall this was a very nice beer.
