Dec. 2017: 330 ml lightweight aluminium bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. Brewed in France for Brasserie de Monaco. ABV is 5%. Clear pale golden colour, moderate white head. Sweetish grassy aroma. Standard industrial pale lager flavour, neither better nor worse than the bulk of them. Some hops in the finish.

March 2021: 500 ml bottle, batch #0266, from Gulating Ølutsalg, Stavanger. ABV is 4.7%. Deep golden colour, clear untill the yeast is poured in the end. Small white head. Aroma of yeast and grain, some floral notes. Slightly citric and lagerish mouthfeel (well, it IS a lager). The flavour has first some citric notes, then rather boring grainy notes take over. Low bitterness. Not much here to keep me excited.

May 2024: 330 ml can, from Helgø Meny Stokka. ABV is 0.5%. Slightly hazy pale golden colour, moderate white head. Aroma of citrus (lemon, lime and oranges). Flavour of the same fruits, zesty, with a distinct hop bitterness in the finish. Fairly refreshing and drinkable for a n/a radler.

On tap at Cardinal, Stavanger. Murky orange colour, large but shortlived head. Aroma and flavour of over-ripe mango with hints of marshmallows, notes of breakfast juice (with carrot juice), a bit unfresh, despite the keg being quite new. Not great.

August 2008: 330 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV in Norway is 4.7%. Crystal clear golden colour, big and lasting white head. Strong and sweetish fruity aroma. The flavour is fairly clean and zesty, no unpleasant off-flavours, moderate hops in the finish. Definitely not the worst pale lager I’ve had.

October 2020: 750 ml bottle, Lot L16041, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 6.8%. Orange colour, very moderate carbonation, no head. Funky aroma, notes of brettanomyces / farmhouse, oak, apple cider vinegar, sour dried apricots. Thin mouthfeel. Sour flavour, notes of lemons and sour dried apricots, hints of apple cider vinegar and oak. Suffers under the lack of carbonation. Not my cup of tea at all. Won't buy again.

Extremely sweet flavour, marshmallows, sugar and vanilla galore, a little roast malts in the finish, otherwise there is nothing here to remind you that this actually is a beer. Not my cup of tea. Won't buy again.

Moderately sweet malty flavour, some herbal hops in the finish. Drinkable, but hardly a beer I'll buy again, even though it is cheap.

330 ml can, from Det Gode Brygg, Sandnes. Pink to peach colour, small off-white head of poor retention. Aroma of raspberries, cranberries and lactic acid, hints of spices. Mouthfeel and flavour of fruity acidity, not too sweet, with the same elements as the aroma. The spices are very moderate, and the hops seem to be non-existant. Still fairly refreshing.

June 2015: 750 ml bottle, as Birra del Borgo Genziana con radici, from Vinmonopolet. BB date March 2015. ABV is 6.1%. Clear deep golden colour, moderate white head. Strong sweetish malty and herbal / vegetable aroma. The flavour is also quite sugary sweet, notes of malts, caramel, herbs and vegetables (the radishes, I assume). Low bitterness. Not really my cup of tea. Drank it moderately chilled - might be more refreshing ice cold.

330 ml bottle, batch #1468, as Lindesnes LB Snekkepils (Marna is no longer mentioned on the label), from Gulating ølutsalg, Stavanger. ABV is 4.7%. Slightly hazy deep golden to orange colour, very small white head. Aroma of old jam, malts and wort, a hint of chocolate(!). The flavour is malty and yeasty with a moderate citric fruitiness, quite bitter aftertaste.
