6853 | Lagunitas Imperial Red | United States | Strong Ale | 3.7
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 8 355 ml bottle, will soon be available at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 7.8%, OG 1072, IBU 54.2. Red (or reddish brown) colour, moderate off-white head. Pleasant fruity (berries, dark dried fruits) and malty aroma with some caramel notes. The flavour is distinctly malty, again with some caramel notes, without being overly sweet. Fruity and resinous hops with a firm bitterness in the finish. |

6855 | Lagunitas Hop Stoopid Ale | United States | Imperial IPA | 3.5
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 650 ml bottle, as Lagunitas Hop Stoopid Ale, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 8%, OG 1085, IBU 102. Golden colour, large white head. Intense and sweetish aroma of fruity and piney American hops and crystal malts, notes of orange marmalade, pine needles, tropical fruits and grapefruit. The flavour is quite sweet and intensely hoppy, with the same elements as in the aroma. Nearly too much of it all. |

6856 | Lagunitas Sucks Holiday Ale | United States | Strong Ale | 3.4
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 7 355 ml bottle, at a breakfast joint in Petaluma. Deep golden to orange colour, large off-white head. Aroma and flavour of citrus, pine, caramel and sweet malts. Maybe a bit too far out on the sweet side for me, but still a fairly nice beer. Some alcohol in the finish. Anyway, I wouldn’t say that it sucks. |

6857 | Lagunitas Hairy Eyeball Ale | United States | English Strong Ale | 3.0
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 650 ml bottle, bought in the brewery store, consumed in Sacramento. Reddish brown colour. Nutty and moderately roasty malts in aroma and flavour, followed by piney American hops, seems somewhat unbalanced. The alcohol is not very well hidden. Not my favourite from Lagunitas this one. |

Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 8 Shared 650 ml bottle, from Voldby Købmandsgård. ABV is 7.85%. Fairly dark brown colour, moderate off-white head. Intense aroma of brown malts, caramel, oak and dark dried fruits. Very malty flavour, same elements as in the aroma, followed by decent hops (but not as bitter as 64 IBU?). A well made imperial brown ale. |

6859 | Avery Lilikoi Kepolo | United States | Fruit Beer | 2.0
Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4 355 ml can, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 5.4%. Cloudy straw colour, moderate to low white head. Strong but not particularly nice aroma of passionfruit and citrus, sourish, hints of coriander. Medium sour flavour, passionfruit and citrus again, minimal coriander, no noticeable hops. Not my cup of tea. |

6862 | Sixpoint Resin | United States | Imperial IPA | 3.8
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8 355 ml can, at the Granite City (JDW), Aberdeen Airport. 9.1% ABV, 103 IBU. Orange colour, moderate head, slightly off-white. Surprisingly moderate aroma of American piney and grapefruity hops. In the flavour, however, both the piney / resinous and grapefruity notes are very distinct - still the beer is reasonably well balanced, the malts are sufficient, with a certain fruity sweetness, and where I expected an unbalanced resinous hell, there is actually as much smoothness as you can expect from a 103 IBU beer. Might well buy again. |

6863 | Sixpoint Sehr Crisp Pilsner | United States | Bohemian / Czech Pilsener | 3.0

Golden colour, moderate white head. Sweetish aroma, with notes of grassy and floral hops. The flavour is medium sweet, and not as crisp as the name suggests. Decent bitterness in the finish though. Okay, but hardly a beer I’ll buy again. |

6866 | Founders Blushing Monk | United States | Fruit Beer | 4.0
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8 750 ml bottle, as Founders Blushing Monk 2015, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 9.2%. Beautiful clear red colour, moderate pinkish-white head. Lovely and intense aroma of ripe raspberries and raspberry candy. Sweet flavour (too sweet for some, I’m sure - but not for me), raspberries and raspberry candy galore, some tart hints and very moderate bittering hops the finish. The alcohol is well hidden, dangerously drinkable. A fine dessert beer. I was about to write "the big bottle is for sharing", but then I noticed it was empty - and I’m here alone. Oh well .... |

6869 | Anderson Valley Heelch O' Hops | United States | Imperial IPA | 3.7
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 355 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 8.7%. Hazy deep golden colour, large white head. Strong hoppy aroma of oranges / orange marmalade and grapefruit, hints of caramel and pine needles. The flavour is first fruity and fresh, then a ferocious attack of piney and grapefruity American "C"-hops sets in, and leaves you with a massive bitter finish - all on a background of medium sweet crystal malts. |

6870 | Anderson Valley Winter Solstice | United States | Spiced Beer | 3.6
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 355 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 6.9%. Brown colour, large off-white head. Nice aroma of malts (including some caramel) and mild spices, including cinnamon. Also some fruity notes (blackcurrants and ripe blackberries). None of the aroma elements are overdone. The flavour is first fruity (hints of blackcurrants and blackberries again) and malty with some caramel, but not too sweet. The Christmas spices come through more distinctly, but not sharp. The bittering hops are very moderate (too moderate for my taste), probably making the beer palatable for people who don’t fancy AVBC’s hoppier beers. Easy drinking, and does not taste as strong as it is. |

6875 | Great Divide Smoked Baltic Porter | United States | Smoked Ale | 3.6
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 650 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 7.5%. Black colour, dark brown in the highlights. Large beige head. Smokey and roasty aroma, notes of smoked meat, mild coffee and dark chocolate. The flavour is medium sweet and moderately roasty, some coffee and dark chocolate again, the smokiness is not excessive. Moderate hops. Good beer, but I’d still prefer a Limfjordsporter to this one. |
