375 ml corked & caged bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 6%. This is now a blend of Guinness Special Export and Timmermans Oude Kriek only, Guinness West Indies Porter is no longer part of the blend. Mahogany colour, huge and creamy beige head. Distinct aroma of sour cherries, cherry kernels and marzipan, discrete notes of chocolate and roast malts. The fairly sweet and slightly sour flavour has the same elements, the roast malts are astonishingly subdued. A fun experiment, but I prefer the Guinness Special Export on its own.

Aroma of of tropical fruits, particularly passionfruit and pineapple, some citrus too, also some floral notes. Light bodied. Citric flavour, not too sweet, moderate notes of tropical fruits, a slightly medicinal bitterness in the finish.

Sweet and rich flavour, distinct notes of roast malts and coffee, also some chocolate and bittering hops. Warming mouthfeel.

Smooth flavour, notes of roast malts, coffee and dark chocolate, again some vinous notes, a hint of liquorice. Moderate hops.

355 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 11%. Clear deep golden colour, moderate white head. Moderate aroma of caramel, toffee, English orange marmalade and piney and grapefruity hops. Medium sweet flavour with the same elements, a distinct resinous and grapefruity bitterness. The alcohol is noticeable.

February 2020: 330 ml bottle, probably from Det Gode Brygg, Kvadrat. ABV is 4.7%, IBU 22. Clear and beautiful reddish brown colour, large to moderate head, slightly off-white. Aroma of caramel, brown bread and syrup. The flavour is malty but not too sweet, notes of caramel and brown bread again, also a slight prune-like fruitiness, moderate earthy hops in the finish. Drinkable, but no masterpiece.

Aroma of herbal and floral hops, hints of honey. Flavour of yeast, wort and herbal hops. Too yeasty for me. Won't buy again. *But i accidentally did! - now in 330 ml can.

Medium dry flavour, notes of said fruits, with a moderate wormwood-like bitterness in the finish.

Nice aroma of citric and spicy hops, hints of tropical fruits. Citric mouthfeel, light bodied. The flavour has citric, herbal and spicy hops, moderate bitterness. Refreshing.

500 ml bottle, from Vaaland, Bryne. ABV is 4.7%. Reddish brown colour, very small head, slightly off-white, moderate carbonation. Aroma of malts, caramel and brown bread, a hint of dark fruits. Thin mouthfeel. The flavour has some acidic notes, but not to an unpleasant degree. Otherwise the same elements as the aroma. Drinkable, but you'll get better dunkels from industrial breweries, to a lower price.

The flavour is sweet, with noticeable alcohol, notes of citrus, tropical fruits and pine. Okay, but Amazing Haze is a better choice IMO.
