2376 Samuel Adams Boston Lager United States Vienna / Amber Lager 3.0

Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6

355ml bottle
4.8%
I tried this beer on December 20, 2007 at "Smokeless Joe's" in Toronto. The beer poured a dark translucent gold colour with a 0.5 inch white head. The aroma was very weak with some barely discernable hoppy notes. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with some mild carbonation. The flavour was alright with no strong overpowering flavours. Very drinkable, but nothing special.

473ml can
6.5% ABV
Milton LCBO Outlet #1 (Milton, Ontario, Canada)
December 23, 2007
The beer poured a translucent gold colour with a generous white fluffy head which quickly disippated after pouring was complete. The aroma was vomit, pure unadulterated vomit. Had I not poured this myself, I don;t think I would have drank it. The mouthfeel was medium bodied, mild carbonation. The taste was better than the aroma. There was a definite hoppy taste. It was a very easy drinking beer, went down well.

500ml draught
5.5% ABV
Labelled as Samuel Adams Spring Lager
The Beerbistro (Toronto, Ontario, Canada)
May 11, 2012
The beer poured a hazy yellow colour with a 1" white creamy had that lasted and laced down the Samuel Adams Boston Lager glass. The aroma grainy malt, and floral hops. Quite pedestrian really. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with mild carbonation. The flavour was grass, grains, some yeast, and a weak bitter finish.

Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6

650ml bottle
5.6% ABV
King/Spadina LCBO Outlet (Toronto, Ontario, Canada)
June 1, 2012
The beer poured a translucent amber colour with a tan coloured head that lasts. The maple can be smelled across the room from the glass while a direct whiff reveals bread and smoked wood. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour was dominated by the smokiness with maple and malt in the mix. Far from outstanding.

2381 Shipyard Pugsley's Signature Series: Smashed Blueberry United States Fruit Beer 3.7

Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7

625ml bottle
9.0% ABV
Queen's Quay LCBO Outlet (Toronto, Ontario, Canada)
June 17, 2012
The beer poured a solid dark brown with a very thin head. Blueberries dominate the aroma, a good way. A little bit of sweet malt and not a lot else. Mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with medium carbonation. Flavour definitely has hints of Scotch Ale in it as there is a definite molasses note, some sweet malt, graininess and a hint of blueberries. By the end of the beer, the alcohol was definitely noticeable in both the aroma and taste.

2386 Southern Tier Imperial Mokah United States Imperial Stout 3.3

Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5

650ml bottle
11.2% ABV (as written on the bottle)
King/Spadina LCBO Outlet (Toronto, Ontario, Canada)
November 2, 2012
Pours a very dark coca-cola colour with absolutely no head. None whatsoever, barely a ring. Aroma is roast coffee, dark chocolate, and hints of vanilla. Mouthfeel is full bodied with good carbonation. Flavour is roasted malt and dark chocolate. Some smoke comes through, and unfortunately so does the alcohol. Looks great, great body, but the rest of it just doesn't do it for me at this price point.
