1 2 Way Brewing Heart of Darkness United States Stout 3.1

Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6

10oz draught
6.0% ABV
House Beer Tasting (Toronto, Ontario, Canada)
September 5, 2020
The beer pours a very dark brown, and almost black. The head is chocolate brown, creamy, and half an inch thick. Lacing is generous. Aroma is dark chocolate, roasted nuts, coffee, and vanilla. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation, a little weak for the style. This is a bitter beer. There is a little sweetness, but for the most part the coffee and hops give this a bitter finish.

2 2 Way Brewing Hesperides United States Cider 3.0

Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6

10oz draught
6.0% ABV
House Beer Tasting (Toronto, Ontario, Canada)
September 5, 2020
The beer pours a clear gold colour, the head is white, minimal, and lasts a few seconds maximum. Aroma is light yeast, weak apple, and funky grains. Mouthfeel is thin bodied and carbonation is high, but typical for style. The flavour is light apple and weak grains. Again, nothing that strays from a typical hard cider.

8 À La Fût La Rouge de Mékinac Canada Flanders Red 4.1

Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 9 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8

September 30, 2018
LCBO Outlet #255 (Milton, Ontario, Canada – Main / Bronte)
750ml bottle
5.40% ABV
$13.50
No discernible date code anywhere on the bottle, but it's a Flanders Red, it will still be good to drink in 20 years. I bought myself this as a reward for getting a new job contract.

The beer pours a translucent cherry red with a huge generous rocky head, light tan in colour. The sides of the glass display plenty of bubbles. The aroma is very pungent and consists of vinegar tones, tart cherries, and some weak spices. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied, and heavily carbonated. The flavour is mellower than the aroma with more cherry flavour, both sweet and tart, and well as some smoky oak notes I did not detect in the nose. Not as yeast forward as the better Belgian Flanders Reds but quite good.

330ml bottle
9.0% ABV
Smokeless Joe’s (Toronto, Ontario, Canada – 125 John Street)
July 16, 2007
$11.80
I loved the label.........I'm not a religious person, but the label was beautiful. Anyway, the beer poured a dark brown into the glass with a half inch head that lasted throughout the experience. The aroma was very yeasty with some hints of pears. It was silky smoth and full-bodied on the tongue with hints of carbonation. The flavour was outstanding...malty, yeasty, with a tinge of sweetness. Just a smidgen below the St. Bernardus Abt 12.........but not much.

Once you open the can, the pineapple aroma is in your face. Once in the glass, aromas of cereal malts, light yeast, and musty hops join the party. The mouthfeel is ligt to medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour tends to the tart side of the spectrum, with some grains and a definite salty presence on the tongue. Finish is more salty than bitter

The aroma is light grass, like, oranges, and ginger. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. There is a lot of lime in the flavour, and next to no beer. As with their other two radlers, this is a great tasting alcoholic juice beverage, but really isn’t beery enough for me to call a radler or shandy.

The aroma is more herbal than fruit, although one can detect notes of citrus, especially oranges, and there are milky notes. The aroma is pleasant, but nothing like a beer should smell like. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with high carbonation, and I’m talking soft drink carbonation levels. The flavour is fruity with notes of orange, grapefruit, and lime and a touch of grainy malt. As a beer, this isn’t what I was hoping for, but it would make a great summer cooler/alcoholic soft drink for those who are into that sort of thing. .

The aroma is very grainy, some herbal hops, and some off-putting acidic notes. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with slightly above average carbonation. The flavour is grains and some bitter hops but for the most part is very non-descript.
