2351 | Bellwoods Jelly King (Strawberry Rhubarb) | Canada | Wild Ale | 2.9
Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5 500ml bottle
5.6% ABV
Bottled On: June 4, 2021
LCBO Outlet #649 (Milton, Ontario, Canada - Sobey's Plaza)
August 23, 2021
$7.50
The beer pours an extremely hazed medium gold colour, reddish highlights, with a thin white head that eventually becomes a ring. The lacing is decent . The aroma is cereal malts, tart fruits, and yeast. Not a lot of hop aroma here. The mouthfeel was light to medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is grassy malt, tart fruit, and yeast. The beer describes itself as Strawberry Rhubarb but I detect neither in the aroma or the flavour and having made dozens of Strawberry Rhubarb pies over the years, I know strawberry rhubarb quite well. |

Lots of floaties present. The aroma is cereal malts, yeast, and mango. The mouthfeel is thin to medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour starts off very tart, and eventually gives way to light notes of cereal malt, tropical fruit notes and mango. The floaties are noticeably sweeter than the rest of the beer. |

2355 | Radical Road Straight Up (Spring Mango Pineapple Sour) | Canada | Wild Ale | 3.1
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 355ml can
4.5% ABV
Canned On:April 16, 2021
LCBO Outlet #649 (Milton, Ontario, Canada - Sobey's Plaza)
September 30, 2021
$3.50
The beer pours a solid orange gold colour with a frothy white head that disappears within 2 minutes. Lacing is non-existent in this beer. The aroma is light grains, funk, and weak sweet fruit notes. The fruit notes aren’t clearly mango, nor are they clearly pineapple. The mouthfeel is weak bodied, but well carbonated. The flavour is nicely balanced between the grains, the tartness of the fruit, and the sweet notes of the fruit. I quite enjoy this. |

The aroma is bready malt, yeast, and unfortunately artificial orange notes. The mouthfeel is light bodied and highly carbonated. The flavour is one dimensional with the tart citrus notes dominating any other flavours present. |

2357 | Lake Of Bays Forest Dweller | Canada | Wild Ale | 3.6
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 473ml can
4.0% ABV
Canned On: June 10, 2021
LCBO Outlet #649 (Milton, Ontario, Canada - Sobey's Plaza)
November 15, 2021
$3.75
The beer pours a translucent cherry red with a bubbly white cap which lasts a few minutes. The aroma is fruit forward, mainly raspberries but there is some vinegar notes, funky yeast and grains. The mouthfeel is medium bodied, puckering, and with average carbonation. The flavour is quite tart and is like the aroma and very raspberry forward. The grains and are also noticeable. No hop bite, just a lingering sour note on the tongue. |

2358 | Lake Of Bays Tropical Twister | Canada | Wild Ale | 3.1
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 473ml can
3.7% ABV
Canned On:
LCBO Outlet #649 (Milton, Ontario, Canada - Sobey's Plaza)
November 26, 2021
$3.75
The beer pours an opaque golden orange with creamy off-white head which lasts several minues and leaves some lacing. The aroma is grass, tart citrus, and yeast. It’s a Cherry Lemon-Lime Sour but I detect no cherry in the aroma. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is grassy with definite hints of lime and possibly weak cherry, but hard to say. The can says it has a sour candy swirl in the flavour. I didn’t get it. The lime in my can was very prominent though. |

2361 | Whitewater Brewing Wild Bog Cranberry Sour | Canada | Wild Ale | 3.0
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 November 23, 2019
LCBO Outlet #010 (Toronto, Ontario, Canada – Summerhill)
473ml can
6.0% ABV
Canned On: September 24, 2019
$3.25
First off, I want to say that there are too many wild ale/sour ales/goses being made by Ontario brewers. It needs to stop! The beer pours a highly hazed pinkish-gold with a very short lived white head. The aroma is yeast, grass, and tart cranberries. The mouthfeel is thin to medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is primarily on the tart side with some weak grains. While the flavour is tart, it doesn’t scream cranberry to me. |

The aroma is tart fruit with lots of grassy notes and citrus - almost a lemon danish aroma. Mouthfeel is thin to medium bodied with above average carbonation. The flavour is quite tart, a definite puckering beer. Definitely taste a lot of lemon with the grass notes in the backgroud |

2364 | Prince Edward Island After Hours Series Raspberry Sour | Canada | Wild Ale | 3.1
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 473ml can
5.0% ABV
LCBO Outlet # 010 (Toronto, Ontario, Canada - Summerhill)
April 29, 2020
$3.70
Date code is unreadable and brewery never responded to my email. The beer pours a floatie-induced hazed light copper colour with a generous bubbly white head which is gone within seconds. The aroma is tart raspberries, some funky grains, and a weak note I’ve never smelled before, although it’s a pleasant one. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with average carbonation. The tartness of the flavour doesn’t match the tartness of the aroma, but it is still there. Nothing offensive about this beer, but it doesn’t replace a good Flanders Red or Oud Bruin |

Not even a film on top. The aroma is tart orange, sour grains, and weak musty hops. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with low carbonation. Flavour is tart orange soda with a hint of alcohol. Drinkable for sure, but not very beer like. |

The aroma is tart fruit, grains, yeast, and citrus. The mouthfeel is thin to medium bodied with above average carbonation. The flavour is tart fruit (doesn’t really say ‘pomegranate to me’), and grains. Certainly more sour than bitter, but good for what it is. |

The aroma is grainy malt (I think I detect wheat), orange, tangerine, and lots of yeast. It smells like my old graduate lab bench in many ways. I might have been on to something 30 years ago and didn’t realize it. The mouthfeel is thin to medium bodied with below average carbonation. The flavour is tart oranges and yeast. It was canned 5 months ago today so that may have taken out whatever sweet flavours there might have been – but it is Collective Arts, so who knows? |

The beer poured a hazy golden brown with a thin white head that lasted. The aroma is musty bread and wood chips. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied with light carbonation. The taste was SOUR! Moreso than the Petrus Oud Bruin in my opinion. Very yeasty in the taste. |

Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4 18oz draught
5.4% ABV
I tried this beer on March 5, 2008 at 'Jack Astors' in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer was a cloudy metallic gold in colour with a very white head. The aroma was citrusy in nature with some grainy malt. The mouthfeel was watery and medium carbonation was apparent. The taste was quite diluted with some citrusy tones and a little malt. Quite disappointing really. |
