1901 Farmer's Creed Longhorn Lager Canada Pale Lager 2.7

Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5

September 28, 2022
Beer Store #2021 (Milton, Ontario, Canada – Sobey’s Plaza)
473ml can
5.0% ABV
Canned On: July 12, 2021
$3.25
The beer was purchased through Skip The Dishes Delivery Service. The Canned On Date is almost 15 months ago, but I’m drinking it and rating it anyway! The beer pours a lightly hazed copper colour with a weak bubbly head which quickly becomes a ring. The aroma is light grass, some floral hops, and light yeast. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is heavy on the sweet grainy malt with a light bitter finish.

Effervescence is high while lacing is minimal. The aroma is metallic in nature with hints of grains, herbal hops, and weak yeast. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is surprisingly better than the aroma with notes of grass, yeast and a bitter hoppy finish.

473ml can
5.0% ABV
Queen's Quay LCBO Outlet (Toronto, Ontario, Canada)
October 11, 2014
The beer pours a translucent medium gold colour with a 1" white head. The aroma is stale grains, weak floral hops, and metallic notes. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is grainly, slightly sour, and salty and acidic notes. Not very refreshing at all. Based on others who have tried it, they must have had a better batch, because this is awful.

Aroma: 3 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6

473ml can
5.0% ABV
LCBO Outlet #255 (Milton, Ontario, Canada – Main / Bronte)
June 18, 2015
$2.15
The beer pours a translucent pale gold colour with a snow white foamy cap and a little bit of effervescence. The aroma is cereal malt, grass, and weak floral hops. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is grainy malt, with some soapy bitter notes. The lack of phenolic and metallic notes puts this above most Canadian pale lagers.

1911 Big Rig Tales From The Patch Spiced Pumpkin Porter Canada Porter 3.5

Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7

473ml can
5.8% ABV
Canned On: August 29, 2019
LCBO Outlet #010 (Toronto, Ontario, Canada – Summerhill)
October 2, 2019
$3.20
The beer pours a coca-cola black colour with a creamy light brown cap on top. The cap thins out over time, but leaves a little lacing. The aroma is pumpkin and spice forward with a hint of roasted malt, coffee, and earthy hops. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is a competition between the spices and the coffee for dominance, although I feel the coffee wins out in this one. The pumpkin flavour is present but not overpowering. The finish is both bitter and tangy. A good pumpkin beer.

Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 6

473ml can
5.7% ABV<bv> Canned On:
LCBO Outlet #010 (Toronto, Ontario, Canada – Summerhill)
October 23, 2019
$3.25
The beer pours a coca-cola colour with a creamy light brown cap, maybe an inch and a half of cap. Chocolate is the aroma of the day with hints of roasted nuts, coffee, and vanilla rounding out the nose. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour…..I’m not a fan of. While I don’t get any cherry in the aroma, I definitely get tart cherries in the flavour, and they dominate the chocolate and mocha notes in the background. I love black forest cake. I do not love this beer however.

330ml bottle
5.3% ABV
Milton LCBO Outlet #1
August 3, 2017
The beer pours a purple tinged black with a half inch bubbly brown head that recedes to a creamy film. The aroma is roasted malt, raspberries, and weak yeast notes. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Very thin for a porter in my opinion. The flavour is strong on the roasted malt end with just a hint of raspberry. A very malty beer but I enjoy that in my porters and stouts.
