1826 | Grolsch Premium Lager | Netherlands | Pale Lager | 2.8
Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 August 12, 2007
LCBO Outlet #255 (Milton, Ontario, Canada – Main / Bronte)
500ml can
5.00% ABV
Canned On: Unknown
$2.25
It poured a translucent pale gold colour into the glass with a generous white head that quickly disappeared leaving some rocky lacing on top. The aroma was slightly malty. The mouthfeel was thin-bodied, crisp, with mild carbonation. Definitely not a watery feel. The taste was that of malt, hops, and a little spiciness I can't place. Overall, a decent beer |

1827 | Patagonia | Argentina | Pale Lager | 1.5
Aroma: 3 | Appearance: 3 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 3 | Overall: 3 August 31, 2007
Smokeless Joe’s (Toronto, Ontario, Canada – 125 John Street)
330ml bottle
4.90% ABV
Bottled On: Unknown
$6.10
The beer poured a very pale translucent yello colour with a thin head that dissipated quickly. The aroma was weakly grassy with a hint of malt. The mouthfeel was thin and crisp with some mild carbonation. The taste was very reminiscent of the grassy/rice taste associated with a lot of other pale lagers. Not a beer I would try again or recommend to my friends (or my enemies). |

The aroma had hints of malt and wheat. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied with a high level of carbonation. The flavour was grassy with a hint of hops on the back of the tongue. 1830 | Kingfisher Lager | India | Pale Lager | 1.5
Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 2 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 3 | Overall: 3 September 4, 2007
LCBO Outlet #255 (Milton, Ontario, Canada – Main / Bronte)
330ml bottle
4.80% ABV
Bottled On: Unknown
$1.85
This is one of the worst beers I have ever tasted. It pours into the glass smoothly with a small white head. The colour is a translucent gold with TONS of effervescence. The aroma is putrid...........acidic and barfy at the same time. The mouthfeel is very thin and watery, none of the carbonation as seen in the glass. The taste is very reminiscent of North American pale lagers as well.......... |

Aroma: 2 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 2 | Flavor: 2 | Overall: 2 December 30, 2007
LCBO Outlet #255 (Milton, Ontario, Canada – Main / Bronte)
473ml can
5.00% ABV
Canned On: Unknown
$1.75
This beer pours a beautiful translucent light reddish gold colour with a huge fluffy white head. The aroma is very weak with no discernable notes of anything. The mouthfeel is watery and highly carbonated. The flavour is also very weak. No discernable taste of malt, hops, honey...or even grain. If it wasn't for the frothy head and the words 'beer' and 'biere' on the can, I would have thought with was coloured water. I'm convinced the $1.75 I paid is $1.74 too much. |

It is a very translucent yello with almost no head. The aroma is vomit. The mouthfeel is watery, thin bodied, and highly carbonated (40 minutes after pouring, there is still effervescence in the glass). The taste is very grainy and not much else. 1847 | Yanjing Beer | China | Pale Lager | 1.6
Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 3 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 3 | Overall: 3 330ml bottle
4.5% ABV
I tried this beer on October 3, 2008 at “Smokeless Joe’s” in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer poured a translucent gold, with almost a thin white head. The aroma was all grainy malt with a hint of hops. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour was very grassy…all malt, very little hops. I tried a mouthfeel of this during the Olympics and was quite surprised at how bad it was. Having a full bottle reminds me that there’s nothing here to threaten the craft beer industry. |

1849 | Molson Canadian Wheat Lager | Canada | Pale Lager | 2.4
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4 473ml can
4.5% ABV
King/Spadina LCBO Outlet (Toronto, Ontario, Canada)
May 5, 2013
Beer pours a hazed pale gold with a frothy white cap that didn't last long. The aroma was very similar to a regular Molson Canadian, not much to give any impression that this is a wheat beer. Mouthfeel was medium bodied with mild carbonation...certainly not as thin as a Molson Canadian. The flavour is a little more robust than Canadian with less phenolic notes and a hint of wheat. Still rather metallic and tart however. |

Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4 473ml can
5.0% ABV
Milton LCBO Outlet #1 (Milton, Ontario, Canada)
November 18, 2013
This is all the rage with a former girlfriend (from Saskatchewan) and seeing it as a single at a local LCBO I had to try and see what the fuss was about. It pours a pale gold colour with a white fluffy head and a lot of effervescence. The aroma is grain/corn, diacetyl, and weak hops. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. Flavour is quite grainy, but that's expected for a macro lager. |
