1678 | Miller Chill | United States | Light / Lite Lager | 1.5
Aroma: 3 | Appearance: 3 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 3 | Overall: 3 355ml bottle
4.0% ABV
October 15, 2011
I tried this beer on October 15, 2011 at a friend's house. The beer poured a translucent light gold colour with a huge genourous short-lived white head. The aroma was very citrusy mixed with hints of sewage. The mouthfeel was watery with mild carbonation (despite the apparent effervescence in the glass). The flavour was weak lime, old grains, and metal. Not enjoyable, and nothing I would ever buy for myself! |

1679 | Coors Light ICED T | Canada | Light / Lite Lager | 1.6
Aroma: 3 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 2 | Overall: 3 473ml can
4.0% ABV
Queen's Quay LCBO Outlet (Toronto, Ontario, Canada)
April 9, 2012
The beer poured a translucent pale gold colour with a short lived white head, and plenty of effervescence. The aroma is very similar to Sprite/7-Up with some graininess and a weak hint of tea. Certainly not enough of a tea hint to convince me it's a 'tea flavoured' beer. Mouthfeel is watery and mildly carbonated. Flavour is gross. Definitely more tea flavour than aroma. Some acidic notes, some grain, and weak citrusy sweetness. Definitely a beer to avoid. |

1680 | New Standard Original Lager | Canada | Light / Lite Lager | 2.8
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 6 473ml can
3.20% ABV
Canned On:
LCBO #457 (Toronto, Ontario, Canada – Yonge / Eglinton)
February 2, 2019
$2.85
The beer pours a translucent pale straw gold colour with plenty of effervescence. There is a thin ring surrounding a sporadic white film on tap standing in for the beer’s head. The aroma is grains, and herbal hops. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is grainy malt, some briny tartness, and some peppery spiciness before giving way to a light bitter hop finish. Interesting flavour. Better than most light lagers in my opinion. |

The aroma is cereal grains, weak herbal hops, and some spicy notes. The mouthfeel is thin to medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is weak grainy malt with a bitter hop finish. Not a lot going for this one. Very bland. |

1682 | Big Rock The Darcy's Poolside Grapefruit Lager | Canada | Light / Lite Lager | 2.7
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5 473ml can
4.0% ABV<bv> Best Before: January 20, 2020
LCBO Outlet #010 (Toronto, Ontario, Canada – Summerhill)
November 28, 2019
$2.60
The beer pours a translucent shiny yellow with a short-lived bubbly white head and plenty of effervescence. The aroma is very “Wink” like (for those who don’t know, Wink was a grapefruit flavoured soft drink in the 1970s and 80s) with some weak grains. No real hops that I can discern. The mouthfeel is light bodied, with average carbonation. The flavour is quite grainy, not a lot of grapefruit to be found. Still, add Alcool to a bottle of Wink, and this is the resulting child! |

1683 | Steam Whistle Premium Session Lager | Canada | Light / Lite Lager | 3.1
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 6 473ml can
4.0% ABV
Canned On: April 13, 2020
LCBO Outlet #649 (Milton, Ontario, Canada - Sobey's Plaza)
May 27, 2020
$3.35
The beer pours a translucent pale straw gold colour with a generous foamy head which takes a minute or two to recede to a film of islands on top. The aroma is fresh bread, earthy hops, and yeast. A clean aroma bill. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. Flavour is well balanced between the bready malt flavours, and the light bitter hop finish. An enjoyable light lager. |

1684 | Coors Organic | United States | Light / Lite Lager | 2.4
Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5 473ml can
3.8% ABV
Canned On: March 9, 2020
LCBO Outlet #649 (Milton, Ontario, Canada - Sobey's Plaza)
May 28, 2020
$3.05
The beer pours a translucent straw gold colour with absolutely no head aside from a thin white ring which is hugging the glass. The aroma is grainy malt, bread, yeast, and some funk. Mouthfeel is weak to medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is grainy, but with a slight sour twist. There is a definite hop bite finish however. The funk in the aroma and the sourness in the taste are a little off-putting, but aside from that, it’s not as bad as a Coors product would be expected to be, |

The aroma is very citrusy, in a tropical fruit sort of way. There are also notes of grains and earthy hops. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. Effervescence is high. The aroma is grains, dish soap, and yeast. The mouthfeel is watery with average carbonation. The flavour is akin to beer flavoured water. 1687 | Magnotta Brewery Backyard Light Lager | Canada | Light / Lite Lager | 3.1
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 473ml can
3.70% ABV
LCBO Outlet #649 (Milton, Ontario, Canada - Sobey's Plaza)
October 29, 2020
$3.05
The beer pours a pale gold colour with a huge bubbly head that recedes almost as quickly as the foam on a soft drink. The aroma is cereal grains, yeast, and a hint of light fruit. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is sweet cereal grains that leave me with the impression that this is a ‘stock’ ale recipe. It’s not bad. |

1688 | Beau's All Natural Lug Tread Lagered Ale 2.5% | Canada | Light / Lite Lager | 3.0
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 473ml can
2.5% ABV <br< Canned On: October 30, 2020
LCBO Outlet #255 (Milton, Ontario, Canada – Main / Bronte)
February 25, 2021
$3.15
The beer pours a translucent gold colour with a huge frothy white head which only lasts a few minutes. Nice to see a non-hazy beer. The aroma is grainy malt, herbal hops, and plenty of yeasty notes. There is definitely a bready character here. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with average carbonation, most certainly a crisp mouthfeel. The flavour is grainy malt, offset by some hop bitterness. While I find Beau’s to be all over the place with their beers, they set out to create a low alcohol product that tastes like beer, and they’ve succeeded. It’s still not my cup of tea so to speak. |

Topped off with a white head that leaves some weak lacing. The aroma is biscuit malt, light herbal hops, and yeast. The mouthfeel is light bodied, but not watery, and the carbonation is average. The flavour takes me by surprised as there is a somewhat tangy and sour note. Not something I associate with light lagers. |

The beer pours a clear metallic gold colour with a huge generous white foamy head. There is little to no effervescence. The aroma is dominated by grainy malt, weak yeast notes, and some earthy hops.
