1651 | Sleeman Honey Brown Lager | Canada | Lager | 3.6
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 7 September 30, 2005
Gift
341ml bottle
5.20%
$0.00
This is great tasting beer. It pours an orangy red colour with a slight head. The aroma is nice and malty with a hint of honey. It works well on the cheeks with mild carbonation (unlike Sleeman Cream Ale which is way too fizzy). The taste is crisp and clear with hints of fruit and honey. Goes down well and tastes great with barbecued ribs. |

1652 | Stella Artois | Belgium | Lager | 3.1
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 Brewed under license in Canada by Labatt Brewing Company
October 1, 1998
Casey’s Restaurant (Toronto, Ontario, Canada – Front Street West)>br> 330ml bottle
5.20% ABV
$4.00
This is a pleasant beer to drink after work when visiting the pub with friends. The aroma is mild and malty, and not too strong. It pours a nice golden colour with a fair sized white head and looks like a beer should. It is very smooth to the tongue and goes down nicely. It has a mild taste that makes this a very easy beer to drink. |

1653 | John Labatt Classic | Canada | Lager | 3.0
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 341ml bottle
5.0% ABV
Bottled On: Unknown
University House Party
February 1, 1992
$1.00
This is an average beer, certainly not a classic. No longer as heavily marketed as it was in the early 90s, but then again, in Canada, it seems only Molson Canadian is marketed to any real extent any more....no more 'Me and the Boys and our 50, me and the boys and our beer'. Anyway, I had this beer in a near frozen state. The beer is a translucent pale gold colour which looks great in a glass. There was very little aroma, but what aroma there was, was slightly malty and pleasant. The mouthfeel was crisp with mild carbonation and the taste was mellow, but not watery in the least. Never really figured out why it was called 'classic' - but it certainly isn't as bad as Blue. |

1654 | Beck's | Germany | Lager | 3.0
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 330ml bottle
5.0% ABV
Guelph, Ontario, Canada
June 1, 1992
$1.50
I had heard many many great things about Beck's, so naturally I had to try one. Unfortunately, I was not able to add any great comments. This is just an alright beer. The colour is a nice translucent golden colour, the aroma was neither appealing or repulsive with a slight malty smell. The flavour was mild with some grassiness. The mouthfeel was smooth and crisp with just the right amount of carbonation. |

1655 | Carlsberg Lager (Export) | Denmark | Lager | 2.6
Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5 February 6, 1987
Gift
341ml bottle
5.0% ABV
$0.00
This is a classic beer. I remember the commercials as a child with the famed Carlsberg Clydesdales. Haven't seen those in years, makes me wonder if they still have those. This beverage has an alright aroma, typical beer aroma. The colour is a nice golden colour. It has a smooth mouthfeel. The taste is bland, similar to other beers of the style. One thing of note is that this beer tastes better cold than at room temperature. |

1656 | Harp | Ireland | Lager | 3.0
Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 6 June 22, 2007
The Fox and Fiddle (Toronto, Ontario, Canada)
20oz Draught
4.30% ABV
$5.90
The colour was a dark gold colour, translucent, with an off-white head about 2cm high. There was not a lot of aroma to speak of however. The taste was crisp with a metallic tinge to it. Nothing to write home about, but not one to avoid either. |

1657 | Peroni Nastro Azzurro | Italy | Lager | 2.4
Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 4 June 25, 2007
Smokeless Joe’s (Toronto, Ontario, Canada)
330ml bottle
5.2% ABV
Bottled On: Unknown
$5.90
This was poured by the waitress into a Unibroue glass. It poured very clear with little head. When held up against the light it was a very pale yellow. The aroma was weak with some floral hints. It was very harsh on the tongue with a fair bit of carbonation. The taste was very bitter which surprised me from a pale lager. Not a beer I will try again anytime soon. |

1658 | Kronenbourg 1664 | France | Lager | 2.4
Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4 June 30, 2007
LCBO Outlet #255 (Milton, Ontario, Canada – Main / Bronte)
500ml can
5.00% ABV
Canned On: Unknown
$2.35
Having tried the Kronenbourg Lager, I decided to try this. The beer smoothly into the glass with a nice light gold colour, clear, with a thin head. The aroma is faint, but malty. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with some mild carbonation. The taste is more hops than malt and has a slightly bitter finish. Overall, a decent beer that I may try again but I prefer the lager. |

The aroma was slightly skunky and not at all appealing. As with a lot of lager/pale lager types, the mouthfeel was crisp and clean on the tongue with hints of carbonation. The taste was better than the smell with some malts and grass tones. |

1665 | Coors Light | United States | Light / Lite Lager | 1.8
Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 3 September 8, 1988
Gift
355ml bottle
4.2% ABV
$0.00
Version: Coors Light brewed by Molson Breweries of Canada
This is my favourite American light beer, although that isn't saying much as I don't like light beer in general. The Silver bullet pours a pale yellow colour with little or no head. What aroma there is, is very weak in nature making it difficult to classify. The taste is beer-like witrh a weak aftertaste. The mouthfeel is watery with some hints of carbonation. Not a great tasting beer, but, better than Budweiser and Coors. |

1666 | Carlsberg Light (Canada) | Canada | Light / Lite Lager | 3.1
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 September 17, 1987
Gift
355ml bottle
4.0% ABV
$0.00
Brewed in Canada by the Labatt Brewing Company Limited
For a light beer, this my preference so far. Much better than any other Light beer I've tried. The aroma here is similar to the main brand, so much so that I am unable to tell the difference. Again, like the main brand, it is golden in colour with a mouthfeel that is not offensive to the tongue. However, the flavour has slightly less bite than the parent brew. |

1667 | Molson Canadian 67 | Canada | Light / Lite Lager | 1.1
Aroma: 2 | Appearance: 3 | Mouthfeel: 2 | Flavor: 2 | Overall: 2 341ml bottle
3.0% ABV
Milton LCBO Outlet #1 (Milton, Ontario, Canada)
July 29, 2013
The beer pours a veryt pale straw yellow with almost no head and plenty of effervescence, think water with a hint of yellow food colouring. The aroma was grains and phenolic notes. The mouthfeel was watery with high carbonation - again, it was very much like carbonated water. There was not much flavour to be tasted, quite grassy for what was detectable. |

1668 | Bud Light | United States | Light / Lite Lager | 1.1
Aroma: 2 | Appearance: 3 | Mouthfeel: 2 | Flavor: 2 | Overall: 2 Brewed in Canada by the Labatt Brewing Company
April 14, 2008
LCBO Outlet #255 (Milton, Ontario, Canada – Main / Bronte)
473ml can
4.0% ABV
$2.00
The beer pours a very translucent pale yellow (almost clear with yellow food colouring added to give it a tinge of colour). The aroma is weakly malty, with nothing else. The mouthfeel was very thin, watery with little carbonation. The flavour was watery as well, again water with a little bit of artificial beer taste added. I have to admit, while there was nothing spectacular about this beer, it went down very fast. |

Aroma: 2 | Appearance: 3 | Mouthfeel: 2 | Flavor: 3 | Overall: 3 473ml can
3.5% ABV
Milton LCBO Outlet #1
October 11, 2012
The beer pours a very very pale translucent gold, with a very thin white ring for a head. The aroma is weak grains, wet metal, and weak hops. The mouthfeel is watery, and medium high carbonation. The flavour is not much more than swill flavoured water. This is to be avoided at all costs, even if you're the designated driver. |

Aroma: 2 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 2 | Flavor: 2 | Overall: 2 America: Missouri
Brewed in Canada by the Labatt Brewing Company
October 21, 2009
LCBO Outlet #255 (Milton, Ontario, Canada – Main / Bronte)
355ml can
4.20% ABV
$1.60
I tried this beer after purchasing a single can from the 'singles' bin at one of my local LCBO outlets. The beer pours a translucent gold colour with a generous white head that disappears quickly. The aroma is phenolic in nature and not appealing at all. The mouthfeel is weak bodied, flat, and lightly carbonated (odd considering the huge head). The flavour is flat, citrusy, and weakly malty. This is a pretty bad beer even by swill standards which makes it even more surprising that the masses love it so much. |

The beer poured a translucent gold colour with a bubble white head that quickly dissipated. The aroma was grass, with some weak floral hops, and skunk. The mouthfeel was extremely thin bodied, with medium carbonation. The flavour was god awful. Very acidic, and sour grainy malt. Not a fan of Corona or Corona Light but if you need to choose between the two...the Corona is FAR better, although that's not saying much. |
