857 Morland Old Crafty Hen United Kingdom English Strong Ale 3.6

Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 7

500ml bottle
6.5% ABV
Milton LCBO Outlet #1 (Milton, Ontario, Canada)
December 10, 2013
Part of a Morland Christmas 4-pack at the LCBO. The beer pours a slightly translucent caramel colour with a generous light tan coloured cap cap that slowly disappears into a thin film. The aroma is grainy, sweet malt, and toffee. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, slightly creamy and with average carbonation. Everything about this beer is similar to the Hen's tooth I had for lunch with the flavouring except the alcohol is more noticeable in the flavour of this one, and the colour is more red. Still quite good, but not as good as a Hen's Tooth.
