261 | Thornbridge Kipling South Pacific Pale Ale | United Kingdom | American Pale Ale | 3.3
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 500ml bottle
5.2% ABV
Best Before: September 1, 2012
King/Spadina LCBO Outlet (Toronto, Ontario, Canada)
May 30, 2012
The beer poured a slightly hazed medium gold colour with a 1" snow white head, and plenty of effervescence. The aromas were grtass, citrusy hops, spices, and orange peel. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour was definitely on the bitter side with very little sweetness brought on by any of the malt or fruit aromas. Generous amounts of orange and grapefruit and a sharp bitter end dominate the flavour. Would be a very sessionable beer had it not been for the bitter aftertaste. |

The aroma is caramel, weak hops, and some metallic notes. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. The metallic notes really come through in the flavour, although there is a bit or sour grains as well. Not a fan of Granville Island after the three beers I received. |

266 | Rickard's Pale Ale | Canada | American Pale Ale | 1.6
Aroma: 3 | Appearance: 3 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 3 | Overall: 3 July 23, 2007
Hard Rock Café (Toronto, Ontario, Canada – SkyDome)
20oz draught
4.80% ABV
Kegged On: Unknown
$6.50
The beer was a very pale yellow colour with an ample head that died quickly, but left traces on the side of the glass. There was very little aroma of note, what aroma there was...was weak and hard to identify. The mouthfeel was crisp, slightly thin-bodied, with some hints of mild carbonation. The taste was very watered down as well. Not something I would order again. I have to admit, the thin crisp mouthfeel and watery taste would make this beer go down very easy which would make it a great beer for University students wanting to get drunk on something other than Blue or Canadian. |

The head is generous, tan in colour, and lasts a few minutes. The aroma is sweet malt, a little hops, and a faint touch of licorice. The mouthfeel is medium-bodied, slightly creamy, and mildly carbonated. The flavour is very hoppy with a lot of juicy citrus notes, and balanced nicely by the caramel notes in the malt..

After my review, through 6 reviews, the beer's score is 3.333, not bad for a "Devil's" Pale Ale |

Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 5 473ml can
5.5%
LCBO Outlet #255 (Milton, Ontario, Canada – Main / Bronte)
April 4, 2013
$2.55
The beer pours a golden-red colour with a very thin tan coloured ring for a cap. There is definitely the citrusy notes of the cascade hops, as well as some weak caramel notes. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour doesn’t live up to the aroma. Some weak hoppy grapefruit notes mixed in with the infamous dishsoap notes. Better than their flagship IPA, but still ’crafty’ as opposed to ’craft’ |
