1976 | Granville Island Robson Street Hefeweizen | Canada | Hefeweizen | 2.9
Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 341ml bottle
5.0% ABV
Milton LCBO Outlet #1 (Milton, Ontario, Canada)
August 2, 2012
Granville Island/Creemore Springs Mixed 6 pack
The beer poured a dark hazy gold colour with a thin white head. Easily the darkest hefeweizen I've seen. The aroma is weak wheat, and fruity...bananas not as pronounced as other hefes. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavour is sweet fruit, and stale wheat. Not a great hefe by any measure. |

Not even close to the copper colour mentioned on the menu (although the accompanying menu picture was close to what was in my stein). The aroma was grains and citrusy hops. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour was grainy malt, citrisy hops, and anise. Eventually the taste was the same as the smell of shoe polish. |

1986 | Granville Island English Bay Pale Ale | Canada | American Pale Ale | 2.8
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 5 341ml bottle
5.0% ABV
Milton LCBO Outlet #1 (Milton, Ontario, Canada)
August 3, 2012
Granville Island/Creemore Springs Mixed 6 pack
The beer poured a translucent cherry red colour with a very thin white head. The aroma is caramel, weak hops, and some metallic notes. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. The metallic notes really come through in the flavour, although there is a bit or sour grains as well. Not a fan of Granville Island after the three beers I received. |

1987 | Wychwood Circle Master | United Kingdom | Extra Special Bitter | 2.8

The beer pours a translucent pale reddish gold colour with a short-lived half inch white head. The aroma is weak grains, some earthy hops, and butterscotch. Mouthfeel is light to medium-bodied with medium carbonation. Flavour is grass, muddy hops, and weak caramel sweetness. |

1988 | Pater Lieven Kerst Pater Special Christmas Beer | Belgium | Belgian Strong Ale | 2.8
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5 330ml bottle
9.0% ABV
The Beerbistro (Toronto, Ontario, Canada)
January 31, 2013
The beers a solid dark brownish red, with a thin tan coloured head. The aroma was dark fruit, some caramel, candy sugar, and alcohol. The mouthfeel was very champagne-like, yet not highly carbonated. Due to the mouthfeel, the flavour reminded me of a cheap red wine. I was expecting more a spiced Belgian Strong ale. |

1989 | Alexander Keith's Hop Series: Cascade | Canada | American Pale Ale | 2.8
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 5 473ml can
5.5%
LCBO Outlet #255 (Milton, Ontario, Canada – Main / Bronte)
April 4, 2013
$2.55
The beer pours a golden-red colour with a very thin tan coloured ring for a cap. There is definitely the citrusy notes of the cascade hops, as well as some weak caramel notes. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour doesn’t live up to the aroma. Some weak hoppy grapefruit notes mixed in with the infamous dishsoap notes. Better than their flagship IPA, but still ’crafty’ as opposed to ’craft’ |

1990 | St. Peter's G-Free | United Kingdom | Blonde Ale | 2.8
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 500ml bottle
4.2% ABV
King/Spadina LCBO Outlet (Toronto, Ontario, Canada)
May 2, 2013
The beer pours a very translucent reddish gold with absolutely no head. The aroma is citrus, hops, grains, and spices. The mouthfeel is weak bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is spicy, almost gingery, with some hops and earthiness. Aside from the lack of head and weak body, it was an easy drinking beer. I wouldn't want more than a couple at a sitting hour as the gingeriness would get to me. I have to agree with slowrunner77 however as I can get Chimay Blue for less money (and it tastes a LOT better). |

1991 | Wychwood Forest Fruits | United Kingdom | Fruit Beer | 2.8
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 5 June 1, 2013
LCBO Outlet #511 (Toronto, Ontario, Canada – King / Spadina) 500ml bottle
4.2% ABV
$3.50
Beer pours a translucent red-tinged gold colour with a 1" white head that fades to a quarter inch. As the pour is happening, the aroma of sweet berries fills the air, followed by some grainy notes. Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with ample carbonation. The flavour is sweet berries, grainy malt, and a rubber-like aftertaste that lingers. Smells better than it tastes. |

The aroma was roasted malt, coffee, light vanilla notes, and some oats. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is roasted malt, cold coffee, and a very bitter finish. Quite one dimensional in both flavour and aroma. |

1993 | Longslice Loose Lips | Canada | Vienna / Amber Lager | 2.8

The aroma is grains, light caramel, and weak citrusy hops. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is weak caramel, grains, and a weak bitter hop finish. Not a bad beer, but there are better Viennas out there |

1994 | Blue Moon Belgian White / Belgian Moon | United States | Witbier | 2.8
Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 6 Had as Belgian Moon
473ml can
5.40% ABV
LCBO # 255 (Milton, Ontario, Canada – Main / Bronte)
November 20, 2018
$2.85
I’ve had this for a while so I thought I better try it as witbiers (and faux witbiers) have short shelf lives. The beer pours a hazed medium gold colour with a thick bubbly head that is short lived as are all Macro beer caps. The aroma is stale grains, metallic notes, and cardboard. No wheat or spices. Is it age, or just bad beer? The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is definitely wheat with bubblegum in the mix. Still not a lot of spice or hop notes on the tongue. It certainly tastes better than it smells, and to be honest is quite a bit better than some craft witbiers here in Ontario. |

1995 | Rochester Mills MilkShake Stout (Blueberry Pancake) | United States | Milk Stout | 2.8
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5 473ml can
4.5% ABV
Best Before: June 7, 2019
LCBO # 255 (Milton, Ontario, Canada – Main / Bronte)
December 5, 2018
$3.49
The beer pours a translucent dark mahogany colour with brown edges and a fluffy brown cap that disappears quickly. The aroma right out of the can was blueberry pancakes with roasted malt, dark choclate, and coffee. The mouthfeel is very thin for a milk stout, as with a previous can, very soda-like in mouthfeel. Carbonation is average. The flavour is sweet blueberries, bitter chocolate and roasted malt. Again, not a good beer, but would make a decent soft drink. |

1996 | St. Mary Axe Belhoste | Canada | English Pale Ale | 2.8
Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5 473ml can
4.6% ABV
Canned On: October 9, 2018
LCBO #457 (Toronto, Ontario, Canada – Yonge / Eglinton)
December 9, 2018
$3.15
The beer pours a slightly hazed rusty orange colour with a generous head that recedes to a thin ring. The aroma has a mustiness to it that crowds out the tropical fruit and grass notes. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is ‘dry’ with hints of fresh cut grass, leather, and weak tropical fruits. Not a fan. |

1997 | New Standard Original Lager | Canada | Light / Lite Lager | 2.8
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 6 473ml can
3.20% ABV
Canned On:
LCBO #457 (Toronto, Ontario, Canada – Yonge / Eglinton)
February 2, 2019
$2.85
The beer pours a translucent pale straw gold colour with plenty of effervescence. There is a thin ring surrounding a sporadic white film on tap standing in for the beer’s head. The aroma is grains, and herbal hops. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is grainy malt, some briny tartness, and some peppery spiciness before giving way to a light bitter hop finish. Interesting flavour. Better than most light lagers in my opinion. |

1998 | Flying Monkeys Wonderstar Botanical Lager | Canada | Light / Lite Lager | 2.8
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5 473ml can
4.5% ABV
Canned On: July 2, 2019
LCBO Outlet #457 (Toronto, Ontario, Canada – Yonge / Eglinton)
August 9, 2019
$3.35
A gift from Martin Sanders. The beer pours a clear metallic gold colour with a huge generous white foamy head. There is little to no effervescence. The aroma is dominated by grainy malt, weak yeast notes, and some earthy hops. The mouthfeel is weak to medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is strange. The grainy malt notes are there, but also notes of lemon furniture polish. This is not a good flavour for beer (or any beverage for that matter). The grassy aftertaste lasts several minutes. |

1999 | Innis & Gunn 15 (2003 - 20018 Barrel Aged Double IPA) | United Kingdom | Imperial IPA | 2.8
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 5 330ml bottle
7.4% ABV
Best Before: November 30, 2019
LCBO Outlet #010 (Toronto, Ontario, Canada – Summerhill)
August 28, 2019
$3.85
The beer pours a translucent dark gold colour, with red hues, and a thin white creamy head that last a while. The predominant aroma is burnt wood and alcohol. I really can’t detect anything else. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is similar to the aroma. I am getting more of a carbonated whiskey flavour than a barrel aged beer flavour. There’s a lot of discussion as to whether this was a DIPA or not. I’ll add ‘is this even beer’ to the discussion. A big disappointment for me from I&G. |

2000 | Spearhead Brewing Chardonnay Summer Ale | Canada | Saison | 2.8

The aroma is funky yeast, grains, and then some fruity notes, but can’t tell if they’re grapes or not. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is dominated by the funk in the yeast and grains. Not a lot of flavour from the hops (spices/bitterness) in this one. |
