1952 | Lake Of Bays Northern Glow Brut IPA | Canada | IPA | 2.9
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5 473ml can
4.3% ABV
LCBO Outlet # 177 (Toronto, Ontario, Canada – Yonge / Sheppard)
March 21, 2020
$3.45
The beer pours a slightly hazed pale straw colour with a huge bubbly off-white head which quickly fades. The aroma is cereal malts, weak herbal hops, some yeasty notes. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is “woody”. I can still taste the cereal malts, but the hops have become bitter and earthy. In fact, I’m not liking the flavour of this at all. |

1953 | Big Drop Brewing Dark | United Kingdom | Reduced Alcohol | 2.9
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 5 330ml bottle
0.40% ABV
Best Before: May 10, 2020
LCBO Outlet #649 (Milton, Ontario, Canada - Sobey's Plaza)
April 3, 2020
$2.75
The beer pours a lively coca-cola colour with a thin rocky brown head which lasts a few minutes. The aroma is roasted malt, coffee, and dark chocolate. So far, so good. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with below average carbonation. The flavour is cold coffee. So, while it looks good, and the taste certainly isn’t offensive, the lack of alcohol works against the flavour profile in less than appreciative way |

1954 | Fixed Gear Brewing Sour Series: Cherry Training Wheels | Canada | Wild Ale | 2.9
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5 473ml can
4.0% ABV
Canned On: March 29, 2021
LCBO Outlet #649 (Milton, Ontario, Canada - Sobey's Plaza)
April 30, 2021
$4.25
The beer pours a lightly hazed golden-pink with a few bubbles for a head. The head was gone within seconds. The aroma is tart cherry, vinegar, light funky yeast, and wet grass. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is tart fruit, grains, and more vinegar. Not sure if the beer is bad, or if this is how it is meant to taste. |

1955 | Woodhouse Cherry Kölsch | Canada | Kölsch | 2.9
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5 August 20, 2021
LCBO Outlet #649 (Milton, Ontario, Canada - Sobey's Plaza)
473ml can
5.2% ABV
Canned On: May 23, 2021
$3.65
The beer pours a translucent rust colour with a thin creamy white head. Effervescence is high and lacing is average. The aroma is bready malts, yeast, light cherry, and musty hops. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is hard to define. There are some light grains, but the cherry flavour is earthy and bitter more than it iss tart. My least favourite Woodhouse brew yet. |

1956 | Bellwoods Jelly King (Strawberry Rhubarb) | Canada | Wild Ale | 2.9
Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5 500ml bottle
5.6% ABV
Bottled On: June 4, 2021
LCBO Outlet #649 (Milton, Ontario, Canada - Sobey's Plaza)
August 23, 2021
$7.50
The beer pours an extremely hazed medium gold colour, reddish highlights, with a thin white head that eventually becomes a ring. The lacing is decent . The aroma is cereal malts, tart fruits, and yeast. Not a lot of hop aroma here. The mouthfeel was light to medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is grassy malt, tart fruit, and yeast. The beer describes itself as Strawberry Rhubarb but I detect neither in the aroma or the flavour and having made dozens of Strawberry Rhubarb pies over the years, I know strawberry rhubarb quite well. |
