1901 Big Rig Hoppin' Maibock Canada Bock 3.0

Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6

473ml can
5.8% ABV
Main/Bronte LCBO Outlet (Milton, Ontario, Canada)
May 9, 2016
$2.95
The beer pours a translucent light gold colour with a generous bubbly off-white head which lingers around for a while. Aroma is tropical hops notes, light cereal grains, and yeast. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is a bit on the skimpy side with weak hints of tropical fruit, some yeasty notes, and grains. A more flavourful punch would have been nice.

The flavour is very malty with a ton of sweet sickly malt tomes coming forward. No hop flavour that I can discern.

Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6

473ml can
4.6% ABV
Main/Thompson LCBO Outlet (Milton, Ontario, Canada)
September 7, 2017
$2.95
The beer pours a slightly hazed translucent gold colour with a fluffy white head which quickly backs down to being a thin film. The aroma is grainy malts, weak hops, and yeast. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is biscuit malt, and weak non-descript hops. There is nothing bad about this beer, but at the same time there is nothing about this beer that stands out.

1906 Grand River Tailset Ginger Ale Canada Spiced Beer 2.9

Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5

500ml bottle
4.5% ABV
Milton LCBO Outlet #1 (Milton, Ontario, Canada)
July 26, 2013
The beer pours a slightly hazed golden colour with orange edges and a thin snow white cap. The aroma was heavy on the ginger with some grainy malt notes and weak floral hops. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is a little more spicy than I would like in a beer and with an artificial ginger aftertaste.

650ml bottle
5.2% ABV
King/Spadina LCBO Outlet (Toronto, Ontario, Canada)
October 20, 2013
The beer pours a hazed straw gold colour with a rocky white cap that lasts and laces well. The aroma is pumpkin, spices, funk, and earthy hops. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is metallic pumpkin, grains, and weak spices. Smells much better than it tastes in my opinion...too metallic, not enough funk.

1909 Junction Craft Engineer's IPA Canada IPA 2.9

Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 6

550ml draught
6.2% ABV
C'est What? (Toronto, Ontario, Canada)
October 24, 2014
The beer pours a golden orange colour with absolutely no head. If I hadn't known better, I would have thought this was orange soda. The aroma is weak grains, and weak citrus. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied, but almost no carbonation. The flavour had a nice grapefruit punch with some caramel and grains, but the beer was disappointing over all.

Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6

473ml can
5.0% ABV
Milton LCBO Outlet #1 (Milton, Ontario, Canada)
April 20, 2017
The beer pours a very hazed light golden/straw colour with a generous bubbly cap that lingers for a few minutes. The initial aroma when I opened the can was Canadian macro lager, but once I poured, a light citrus hop note that is mildly overpowered by grass and herbal notes started to become the main theme. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is quite grainly with spicy hop tones intertwined. Not something I would try again.

Ontario, Canada)
August 11, 2018
$3.25
The beer poured a hazed light orange-gold colour with absolutely no head....none! The aroma was orange citrus, yeast, and surprising light caramel notes. The mouthfeel was on the thin side with average carbonation. The flavour was tart fruit, still tasted like an orange to me, some grany malt, and a definite yeasty note. Not really my thing, but a well made product.

The aroma is roasted malt, molasses, nuts, and herbal hops. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is a tad on the bitter side. It starts off sweet, but the bitterness overpowers it by the time it reaches the throat. So, a tad thin for a Wee Heavy and a little too bitter for the style.
