The aroma is biscuit malt, weak herbal hops, and weak citrus fruit. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is very similar to the aroma with the biscuit malt dominating the caramel and citrusy hop notes. The finish is weakly bitter. I was expecting more from this based on local word of mouth. |

It pours a translucent light gold colour, with a short lived bubbly head that clings to the side while supported by ample effervescence. Aroma is cereal malt, light floral notes, and some light spicy notes in the mix. The mouthfeel was medium to full bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is grainy malt with a mild bitter finish. Nothing outstanding, just a North American style lager. |

The flavour is slightly bitter with the taste of herbal hops and the malt notes are very grainy. Very little actual passion fruit notes. |

The aroma is light wheat, barley, and earthy hops with the added bonus of wak citrus. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is on the salty side which is a propos for a gose. There are also notes of grains of citrus to round out the flavour. Average at best for a Gose. |

1783 | Lake Of Bays Wild North Series: Pumpkin Ale | Canada | Spiced Beer | 3.0
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 473ml can
6.0% ABV
Canned On: September 10, 2018
Main / Bronte LCBO outlet (Milton,. Ontario, Canada)
September 29, 2018
$3.35
The beer poured a slightly hazed orange-red colour with a generous fluffly light tan head which didn't last very long. The aroma was all pumpkin at the start, but eventually grainy notes, weak spices, and musty hops filtered into the mix. The mouthfeel is medium bodied, although carbonation was light (the beer isn't even 3 weeks old!). The flavour started out with a tart fruity note before the bitter pumpkin notes set in. These were rounded out by the usual graininess and pumpkin pie spices. Nothing spectacular here. |

1784 | Walkerville Brewery Rob Roy Scotch Ale | Canada | Scottish Ale | 3.0
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5 October 12, 2018
LCBO Outlet #255 (Milton, Ontario, Canada – Main / Bronte)
473ml can
7.0% ABV
$3.25
The date code on the can is the totally obvious 8253. The beer pours a beautiful translucent dark cherry red with a creamy half inch tan coloured cap that lingers a while. The aroma is light toffee and molasses with hints of grains and musty hops. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with average carbonation. On the thin side for a Scotch ale. The flavour is like the mouthfeel in that it is weak on flavour. Not a lot of sweetness coming from the molasses/toffee notes, and not a lot of bitterness from hop notes. The alcohol is well hidden though, that’s a plus. Look and smells great, but the flavour was a letdown for me. |

Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 6 473ml can
4.0% ABV
Milton / Bronte LCBO Outlet (Milton, Ontario, Canada)
October 19, 2018
$3.35
The canned on / best before date is rather cryptic. The beer pours a golden pink colour with a bubbly white head which quickly disappears into a lively white film. The aroma is pink grapefruit, light wheat notes, and grass. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is pink grapefruit juice with a hint of alcohol. Quite possibly the least beery radler I’ve ever had. |

The flavour is similar to the aroma with hints of a more tropical fruit profile like passion fruit and mango. The bitterness in the finish is not readily apparent but lingers. |

1791 | Muskoka Shinnicked Stout | Canada | Stout | 3.0
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5 473ml can
5.2% ABV
Best Before: June 5, 2019
LCBO #457 (Toronto, Ontario, Canada – Yonge / Eglinton)
January 11, 2019
$3.45
The beer pours a coca-cola colour with absolutely no head. Kind of disappointing from the head perspective. The aroma is all roasted malt and coffee with a minor hint of vanilla. Not much in the way of multiple dimensions here. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with below average carbonation. I am now pretty sure that this beer is flat or old. Either way, quite disappointed. The flavour is similar to the aroma with a lot of roasted malts and bitter coffee notes hiding a weak vanilla and chocolate presence. I may try again down the road but this was a disappointment. |

The aroma is toasted malt, light caramel, weak citrus, and bread. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour leans heavily towards citrus peel, particularly grapefruit and orange, which isn’t my cup of tea. There are hints of herbal hops and caramel as the beer warms up a little, but the citrus peel lingers. |

The flavour was very similar to a lot of session IPAs using the same hops. A nice balance between tropical fruit sweetness and mildly bitter hops with grassy malt thrown in. Problem is, they are all just ‘meh!’ |

1797 | Walkerville Brewery Road Block Doppelbock | Canada | Doppelbock | 3.0
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 3 | Overall: 6 May 8, 2019
LCBO #010 (Toronto, Ontario, Canada – Summerhill)
473ml can
7.5% ABV
Canned On: February 20, 2019
$3.15
The beer pours a translucent dark cherry red with a thin brown tan cap which starts off bubbly but quickly recedes to a film on top. The aroma is toasted caramel malt, earthy hops, weak bread, and a hint of yeast. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with average carbonation. Sadly, the flavour falls short. While only 7.5%, the alcohol flavour dominates the taste. There are hints of caramel and bitter hop notes, but the alcohol steals the show. |

1798 | Magnotta Brewery Double Drooling Dog Black IPA | Canada | American Black Ale | 3.0
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5 473ml can
6.4% ABV
Canned On: May 16, 2019
LCBO #255 (Milton, Ontario, Canada – Bronte / Main)
June 9, 2019
$3.25
The beer pours a translucent light coca-cola colour with a generous light tan coloured head which lasts several minutes. The aroma is roasted malt, coffee, weak grapefruit, and grassy notes. The mouthfeel is full bodied, with average carbonation. The flavour is coffee, chocolate milk, and roasted malt. This is a decent porter or stout, but aside from a faint grapefruit aroma, and maybe some citrus peel flavour (both which can be found in overhopped stouts and porters) there is nothing to suggest this is a black IPA. NOTHING! |

The flavour is grains, light spiciness, yeast, and a weak bitter hop finish. Nothing offensive or outstanding about this beer. Just a good solid drinkable beer. |

The mouthfeel is weak to medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is cereal malts, cucumber, vegetables, and a weak bitter hop finish. Again, no sign of mint. |
