The first flavour I got was pepper, followed by cold sweet coffee and grass. This was a very interesting beer.

The flavour is balanced between the coffee and nutty malty notes. There is a hint of some sweetness, but it is not very strong.

Again, the aroma is all oranges with a hint of perfumey hops and yeast. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with a lot of carbonation. The flavour is very much orange juice as well with hints of grass and hops. There is a belly warming alcohol presence in the sense you feel it, but don’t taste it. It smells and tastes good, but not what I want in a beer.

Despite being only 5.5%. the alcohol is noticeable.

As an aside, the Henderson Brewery actually backs onto the tracks on which the Union Pearson Express runs.

The flavour was tart with notes of fruits, vinegar, and wet grass. There was no hoppy bitterness in the finish.
