2151 | Robinson's Trooper Red 'n' Black | United Kingdom | Porter | 3.3
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 500ml bottle
6.8% ABV
Best Before: December 18, 2020
LCBO Outlet # 010 (Toronto, Ontario, Canada - Summerhill)
December 8, 2019
$3.55
The beer pours a translucent coca-cola colour with a creamy light brown head which lasts. The aroma is roasted malt, coffee, and chocolate. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied, average carbonation, and as stated previously….chalky in a way. The flavours are similar to the aroma with notes of roasted malt, rich coffee, and dark chocolate. A solid effort. |

2152 | Greene King Festive Pudding | United Kingdom | Spiced Beer | 3.5
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 500ml bottle (br> 6.0% ABV
Best Before: May 31, 2021
LCBO Outlet # 010 (Toronto, Ontario, Canada - Summerhill)
December 9, 2019
$3.50
The beer pours a translucent mahogany colour with a thin creamy tan coloured cap which lasts throughout. The aroma is dark fruit like raisins or plums, molasses, grass, and earthy hops. Smells quite good actually. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is not as good as the smell. While only 6%, the alcohol can be detected along with notes of bread, yeast, and weak sweetness. It’s not bad, but not something I would try again. |

2153 | Innis & Gunn Frank and Sense | United Kingdom | Spiced Beer | 3.5
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 500ml bottle
5.80% ABv
Best Before: December 31, 2020
LCBO Outlet #483 (Toronto, Ontario, Canada – Royal Bank Plaza) December 9, 2019
$7.25
The beer pours a translucent red-tinged gold colour with a thin white ring for a cap. The aroma is citrus, grains, musty hops, and weak tropical notes. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is very IPA like, hop forward with notes of tropical fruit balanced by a malty grassy sweetness and finishing with a strong hoppy bitterness. Not a lot of ‘spice’ in the beer for me/ |

The aroma is roasted malt, dark chocolate, and vanilla. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is more sweet than bitter with hints of roasted malt, chocolate milk, and a very weak bitter finish. Goes down easy but nothing special. |

Lacing is generous down the glass. The aroma is roasted malt, dark chocolate, nuts, vanilla, and weak soy sauce hits. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is bourbon and wood with some hints of chocolate and cold pressed coffee in the background. The discernable imperial stout notes are warming and tasty, but the bourbon and wood are overpowering. |

2158 | Big Drop Brewing Pale | United Kingdom | Reduced Alcohol | 1.9
Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 3 | Overall: 4 330ml bottle
0.40% ABV
Best Before: May 13, 2020
LCBO Outlet #649 (Milton, Ontario, Canada - Sobey's Plaza)
March 30, 2020
$2.75
The beer pours a very hazy medium gold colour with a lot of effervescence, but only a few filmy islands for a cap. The aroma is grains, citrus, and yeast. I can't place the grains, but they aren't the wheat or barley listed on the bottle. The mouthfeel is thin to medium bodied with below average carbonation. The flavour is very reminiscent of a weak iced tea. It isn't very beery at all. |

2159 | Big Drop Brewing Dark | United Kingdom | Reduced Alcohol | 2.9
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 5 330ml bottle
0.40% ABV
Best Before: May 10, 2020
LCBO Outlet #649 (Milton, Ontario, Canada - Sobey's Plaza)
April 3, 2020
$2.75
The beer pours a lively coca-cola colour with a thin rocky brown head which lasts a few minutes. The aroma is roasted malt, coffee, and dark chocolate. So far, so good. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with below average carbonation. The flavour is cold coffee. So, while it looks good, and the taste certainly isn’t offensive, the lack of alcohol works against the flavour profile in less than appreciative way |

Aroma: 9 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 330ml bottle
5.3% ABV
Milton LCBO Outlet #1
August 3, 2017
The beer pours a purple tinged black with a half inch bubbly brown head that recedes to a creamy film. The aroma is roasted malt, raspberries, and weak yeast notes. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Very thin for a porter in my opinion. The flavour is strong on the roasted malt end with just a hint of raspberry. A very malty beer but I enjoy that in my porters and stouts. |

The aroma is roasted malt, dark fruits, chocolate, and coffee. Smells amazing. The mouthfeel is full bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is similar to the aroma with a definite woody taste thrown in. Chocolate flavour is milk chocolate more than dark chocolate. I like the beer, although the flavour doesn’t live up to the promise of the aroma. |

This clearly a British style IPA with the emphasis on ‘clearly’ as there isn’t a speck of haze in the glass. The beer pours a translucent metallic gold colour with a thin white film for a head. Swirling the beer for a few seconds generates a 1” foamy off-white head. The aroma is grainy malt, some musty hops and some floral hops, and yeast. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is grainy malt up front, some acidic tones, and a bitter citrusy hop finish. Hard to detect the citrus in the aroma but it is definitely there on the palate. |

The mouthfeel was medium bodied with average carbonation and a slight creaminess. The flavour was along the lines of the aroma with sweet caramel, toasted grains, and vanilla wrapped in oaky notes, followed by a decent bitter finish. |
