403 | Alexander Keith's Hop Series: Cascade | Canada | American Pale Ale | 2.8
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 5 473ml can
5.5%
LCBO Outlet #255 (Milton, Ontario, Canada – Main / Bronte)
April 4, 2013
$2.55
The beer pours a golden-red colour with a very thin tan coloured ring for a cap. There is definitely the citrusy notes of the cascade hops, as well as some weak caramel notes. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour doesn’t live up to the aroma. Some weak hoppy grapefruit notes mixed in with the infamous dishsoap notes. Better than their flagship IPA, but still ’crafty’ as opposed to ’craft’ |

413 | Molson Canadian Wheat Lager | Canada | Pale Lager | 2.4
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4 473ml can
4.5% ABV
King/Spadina LCBO Outlet (Toronto, Ontario, Canada)
May 5, 2013
Beer pours a hazed pale gold with a frothy white cap that didn't last long. The aroma was very similar to a regular Molson Canadian, not much to give any impression that this is a wheat beer. Mouthfeel was medium bodied with mild carbonation...certainly not as thin as a Molson Canadian. The flavour is a little more robust than Canadian with less phenolic notes and a hint of wheat. Still rather metallic and tart however. |

The beer pours a hazed golden yellow colour with a thin white ring of a head, yet a thinner smaller ring than the shandy produced. The aroma is light wheat, grains, and yeast. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with slightly above average carbonation. The flavour has a light fruity sweetness to it with a dose of wheat and grass. The extra carbonation does come as a surprise at first. A one and done beer at best. |
