826 | Walkerville Brewery Rob Roy Scotch Ale | Canada | Scottish Ale | 3.0
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5 October 12, 2018
LCBO Outlet #255 (Milton, Ontario, Canada – Main / Bronte)
473ml can
7.0% ABV
$3.25
The date code on the can is the totally obvious 8253. The beer pours a beautiful translucent dark cherry red with a creamy half inch tan coloured cap that lingers a while. The aroma is light toffee and molasses with hints of grains and musty hops. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with average carbonation. On the thin side for a Scotch ale. The flavour is like the mouthfeel in that it is weak on flavour. Not a lot of sweetness coming from the molasses/toffee notes, and not a lot of bitterness from hop notes. The alcohol is well hidden though, that’s a plus. Look and smells great, but the flavour was a letdown for me. |

827 | Mill Street West Coast Style IPA | Canada | IPA | 3.7
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 7 473ml can
6.60% ABV
Canned On: July 6, 2018
Main / Bronte LCBO Outlet (Milton, Ontario, Canada)
October 12, 2018
$3.25
The beer pours a hazy creamy yellow colour with a huge generous off-white rocky head which lasts a few minutes. The aroma is pineapple, mango, and orange with some grassy notes thrown in to make it beery. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is dominated by the pineapple flavours with hints of other citrus fruits such as orange and passion fruit in the mix. A very flavourful beer, but more of what I associate with Australian and New Zealand hops and not what I associate with the American west coast (I love grapefruity west coast IPAs) |

828 | Broadhead Bodacious Blueberry Blonde Ale | Canada | Fruit Beer | 3.2
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 Had as 'Broadhead Blue Print Blueberry Blonde'
473ml can
5.0% ABV
Canned On: July 23, 2018
Main / Bronte LCBO Outlet (Milton, Ontario, Canada)
October 12, 2018
$3.25
The beer pours a very translucent metallic gold colour with a generous white head which doesn’t last very long. As you pour the beer, the unmistakable smell of blueberries permeates the air. The aroma is blueberries, grainy malt, and musty hops….almost like stale blueberry eggos. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is grainy malt with a bitter hop finish and a hint of blueberry. Blueberry beers always disappoint. |

829 | Mill Street July Talk Conversation California Common | Canada | California Common / Steam | 3.6
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 355ml bottle
5.0% ABV
Bottled On: May 7, 2018
Main / Bronte LCBO Outlet (Milton, Ontario, Canada)
October 6, 2018
$2.49
The beer poured a translucent metallic gold with absolutely no head, just a very thin ring of film hugging the glass. The aroma is very grainy with a hint of earthy hops and yeast. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation, what good old fashioned lager drinkers would describe as ‘crisp’. The flavour is very grainy with just a hint of a bitter hop finish. Also in the finish is a bit of salinity, which was not a delightful surprise as this isn’t a gose! |

830 | Mill Street Chuckwagon Wheat | Canada | American Wheat | 3.1
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 355ml bottle
5.3% ABV
Bottled On: August 8, 2018
Main / Bronte LCBO Outlet (Milton, Ontario, Canada)
October 8, 2018
$2.49
The beer pours a hazed light straw colour with a generous white head that lasts a few minutes. The aroma is wheat, spices, bubble gum, and banana. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is sweet up front with flavours of wheat and light fruit, with a mildly tart finish. While it is closer to a hefeweizen than an American Wheat, it is not a beer I would try again. |

831 | Mill Street Capelin Hound Session IPA | Canada | IPA | 3.5
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 7 355ml bottle
4.20% ABV
Bottled On: May 2, 2018
Main / Bronte LCBO Outlet (Milton, Ontario, Canada)
October 6, 2018
$2.49
The beer pours a hazed golden orange colour with planty of bubbles clinging to the side of the glass and a quarter inch creamy off-white head which lasts a few minutes. The aroma is passion fruit and citrus with some grainy malt and herbal hops as well. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with average carbonation. A surprising hearty body for a session IPA. The flavour is a downer however, the fruity and citrus notes found in the aroma are very weak on the tongue with the grassy notes dominating the flavour. A decent beer nonetheless. |

832 | Collective Arts Life In The Clouds | Canada | IPA | 3.4
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 473ml can
6.1% ABV
Canned On: August 16, 2018
Main / Bronte LCBO Outlet (Milton, Ontario, Canada)
October 6, 2018
$3.55
The beer pours a cloudy light gold colour with a frothy white head which lasts a while after receding to a rocky film. The aroma is heavy on the tropical fruit with notes of passion fruit and mango certainly present. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is like the aroma with a heavy emphasis on the tropical fruit flavours and the grains and the bitter hop finish almost an afterthought. |

833 | Exchange Brewery ∞ (Peppercorn Rye Saison) | Canada | Saison | 3.1
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 330ml draught
7.40% ABV (as written on menu)
Craft (Yonge Street, Toronto, Ontario, Canada)
October 4, 2018
$7.50
The beer pours a hazed light gold colour with a half-inch creamy white head which sticks around. The most prominent aromatic compound was the pepper followed by light fruit, grains, funk, and yeast. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour was light fruit and funk with the pepper really noticeable on the back of the tongue. Light citrus notes and yeast were in the finish. This beer was a disappointment as I am still asking....WHERE'S THE RYE? |

834 | Signal Brewing Wave New England Style IPA | Canada | IPA | 3.4
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 400ml draught
6.1% ABV
Craft (Yonge Street, Toronto, Ontario, Canada)
October 4, 2018
$7.50
The beer poured a cloudy metallic goal with a thin white film standing in for a head. Tropical fruit aromas are very strong here with notes of grass and hops rounding out the nose. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour starts out sweet with tropical fruit aromas, and finishes with a crisp hop presence. An enjoyable beer. |

835 | À La Fût La Rouge de Mékinac | Canada | Flanders Red | 4.1
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 9 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8 September 30, 2018
LCBO Outlet #255 (Milton, Ontario, Canada – Main / Bronte)
750ml bottle
5.40% ABV
$13.50
No discernible date code anywhere on the bottle, but it's a Flanders Red, it will still be good to drink in 20 years. I bought myself this as a reward for getting a new job contract.

The beer pours a translucent cherry red with a huge generous rocky head, light tan in colour. The sides of the glass display plenty of bubbles. The aroma is very pungent and consists of vinegar tones, tart cherries, and some weak spices. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied, and heavily carbonated. The flavour is mellower than the aroma with more cherry flavour, both sweet and tart, and well as some smoky oak notes I did not detect in the nose. Not as yeast forward as the better Belgian Flanders Reds but quite good. |

836 | Lake Of Bays Wild North Series: Pumpkin Ale | Canada | Spiced Beer | 3.0
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 473ml can
6.0% ABV
Canned On: September 10, 2018
Main / Bronte LCBO outlet (Milton,. Ontario, Canada)
September 29, 2018
$3.35
The beer poured a slightly hazed orange-red colour with a generous fluffly light tan head which didn't last very long. The aroma was all pumpkin at the start, but eventually grainy notes, weak spices, and musty hops filtered into the mix. The mouthfeel is medium bodied, although carbonation was light (the beer isn't even 3 weeks old!). The flavour started out with a tart fruity note before the bitter pumpkin notes set in. These were rounded out by the usual graininess and pumpkin pie spices. Nothing spectacular here. |

Ontario, Canada)
September 29, 2018
$2.49
Date Code is gibberish. The beer pours a hazed light gold colour with a thin off-white film for a head. Quite a bit of microbubble effervescence though. The aroma is quite grainy with a weak herbal hop note. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is well balanced between the grains and the hops. The alcohol is not noticeable, and there are no off-flavours like metal or phenol. Quite good actually. |

The aroma is roasted malt, light coffee, light chocolate, and earthy hops. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The aroma is on the boozy side with heavy notes of bourbon and oak up front, and subtle hints of coffee, chocolate, and vanilla. The mouthfeel is full bodied and creamy with above average carbonation. The flavour is roasted malt, coffee, oak and bourbon with some small hints of vanilla seeping through. Definitely too much barrel character for me, but an excellent beer nonetheless. |

The aroma is grainy malt and earthy hops and nothing else, a simple aroma. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is grainy malt with a weak hoppy finish. I know this beer is billed as a 'Session Ale' but everything about the aroma and flavour says pale lager, albeit a non-adjunct version of the style. |

The aroma was grains, alcohol, and earthy hops. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour was sweet and grainy with a definite alcohol presence and some old leathery notes. I'm quite surprised that D.A.B. would pass a beer like this off as a Maibock when it more closely resembles a beer like the Crest and Faxe 10% strong lagers. I rarely drain-pour a beer, and I can't remember the last time I did it, but add this beer to the short list of my drain-pours (I almost feel sorry for the drain). |

Despite the dating on the bottle, this seemed like an 'old' beer based oin the lack of carbonation and real flavours, but based on this bottle, this beer was a letdown |
