The cork says this is a 2018 bottle. It pours a beautiful translucent cherry red with a tan coloured cap and plenty of bubble to keep that cap alive. Aroma is vinegar, cherries, wood, and yeast. Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with above average carbonation, and a ‘dry’ mouthfeel as well. Flavour starts off with sweet cherry notes, before giving way to tart cherries, vinegar, and burnt wood. The burnt wood flavour lingers on long afterwards. This beer is dangerously VERY drinkable.

The aroma is roasted malt, coffee, vanilla, and that soy sauce note. No noticeable chocolate aromas for this one. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is balanced between the coffee and nutty malty notes. There is a hint of some sweetness, but it is not very strong.

The aroma is coffee, roasted malt, and some dark chocolate. The mouthfeel is full bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is coffee, coffee, and more coffee with some hints of anise in the mix. If you like coffee, you will probably like this.

The aroma is very “Wink” like (for those who don’t know, Wink was a grapefruit flavoured soft drink in the 1970s and 80s) with some weak grains. No real hops that I can discern. The mouthfeel is light bodied, with average carbonation. The flavour is quite grainy, not a lot of grapefruit to be found. Still, add Alcool to a bottle of Wink, and this is the resulting child!

The flavour is definitely iced coffee and roasted malt with hints of vanilla and soy sauce. The finish is a little more bitter than anticipated. Not a bad beer, but too bitter for my liking.

It needs to stop! The beer pours a highly hazed pinkish-gold with a very short lived white head. The aroma is yeast, grass, and tart cranberries. The mouthfeel is thin to medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is primarily on the tart side with some weak grains. While the flavour is tart, it doesn’t scream cranberry to me.

The flavour is very similar to the aroma with the biscuit malt dominating the caramel and citrusy hop notes. The finish is weakly bitter. I was expecting more from this based on local word of mouth.

The aroma is grainy malt and herbal hops. Certainly not a lot going on in the aroma. The mouthfeel is m3dium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour profile matches the aroma with the grainy malt being the up front flavour and the finish being mildly bitter.

The flavour is well balanced between the citrusy grapefruit and malty caramel notes, and has a bitter finish. There is also an alcohol warminf effect as this beer goes down the hatch. Well done in my opinion.

The flavour starts sweet with the malted grains, and sugar, but the finish is bitter with leather notes in the aftertaste. The alcohol is well hidden.

Lots of caramel flavour, and lots of dishsoap flavour. Not a good balance. Weak bitter finish doesn’t help the cause at all.

The flavour was roasted malt, coffee, and some peppery spice notes. The finish was slightly bitter. Another fine Indie Ale House brew.
