The dark wheat is a nice touch.

Arma was tart fruit, coffee, and roasted malt. The mouthfeel was medium to full bodied with average carbonation. The flavour was sour to start, with alcohol the next most prominent flavour before ending with a better dose or roast, chocolate, and leather. There was a definite peppery aftertaste. This beer was not for me!

The flavour is a well balanced between the roast and coffee malt notes and the citrusy hop notes. Alcohol is not noticeable. One of the best American Black Ales I've tried.

Refreshing and clean, but nothing outstanding enough to keep me coming back for more.

Despite being the same ABV as the others in the Ola Dubh series, the alcohol is more notioeable in this one.
