426 | Walkerville Brewery Rob Roy Scotch Ale | Canada | Scottish Ale | 3.0
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5 October 12, 2018
LCBO Outlet #255 (Milton, Ontario, Canada – Main / Bronte)
473ml can
7.0% ABV
$3.25
The date code on the can is the totally obvious 8253. The beer pours a beautiful translucent dark cherry red with a creamy half inch tan coloured cap that lingers a while. The aroma is light toffee and molasses with hints of grains and musty hops. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with average carbonation. On the thin side for a Scotch ale. The flavour is like the mouthfeel in that it is weak on flavour. Not a lot of sweetness coming from the molasses/toffee notes, and not a lot of bitterness from hop notes. The alcohol is well hidden though, that’s a plus. Look and smells great, but the flavour was a letdown for me. |

427 | Walkerville Classic Amber | Canada | Vienna / Amber Lager | 3.3
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 May 2, 2008
LCBO Outlet #255 (Milton, Ontario, Canada – Main / Bronte)
341ml bottle
5.0% ABV
$2.10
Part of the 2008 Ontario Craft Beer Discovery Pack. The beer poured a translucent red-tinged golden colour with a generous white head that quickly dissipated. The aroma was slightly malty, a little tinge of hops, and a lot of mustiness as stated previously. The beer is thin to medium bodied with ample carbonation. The flavour has a slight sweetness to it, a little bit of caramel malt, and a little hoppish character in the end. |

Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 March 12, 2008
LCBO Outlet #255 (Milton, Ontario, Canada – Main / Bronte)
500ml can
4.80% ABV
$2.15
The beer poured a dark translucent reddish-brown with a 1" head which disappeared quickly. The first aromatic flavour that hit me was molasses. There was also some sweet malt and cherry hints. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied with ample carbonation. The flavour was malty/grainy with some unplaceable sourness. An alright beer. |

The aroma was all lemon, and fake lemon at that. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour was very lemony with some grainy malt mixed in. This would be quite refreshing if the taste was better. |

The aroma is very spicy with notes of nutmeg and cinnamon as well as notes of caramel and earthy hops. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is sweet caramel malt with festive spices thrown in, and a bitter earthy hop finish that doesn't linger. I quite enjoy this! |

433 | Waterloo Brewing Radler (Raspberry) | Canada | Fruit Beer | 2.6
Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5 May 26, 2020
LCBO Outlet #649 (Milton, Ontario, Canada - Sobey's Plaza)
473ml can
2.5% ABV
Canned On: February 11, 2020
$2.85
The beer pours a translucent light rust colour with a short-lived generous head that quickly recedes to patches of white on top. Aroma is raspberry, fresh bread, and some tartness. Mouthfeel is thin to medium bodied, carbonation is below average. The beer was canned 3 months ago, so maybe a little less than fresh. The flavour is all about the fruit, and there are few, if any, hints that there is a beer base involved. The fact that ‘beer’ is the first ingredient is in itself scary. The pineapple radler will come later. |

434 | Waterloo Brewing Radler (Pineapple) | Canada | Fruit Beer | 1.9
Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4 May 26, 2020
LCBO Outlet #649 (Milton, Ontario, Canada - Sobey's Plaza)
473ml can
2.5% ABV
Canned On: January 28, 2020
$2.85
The beer pours a translucent pale yellow, and I can’t emphasize the word ‘pale’ enough. Quite a bit of effervescence, yet no real head, just a white film. The aroma is pineapple, pineapple, and more pineapple. The mouthfeel is thin and carbonation is high. The main thing you taste is pineapple, but there are some hints of grains on the back end. This is more of a pineapple soda with alcohol than a radler and would get a better score if it was marketed as such. |

435 | Waterloo Brewing Radler (Grapefruit) | Canada | Fruit Beer | 2.4

The aroma is grapefruit and lemonade. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is sweet acidic notes and grapefruit. The acidic notes kill the sessionability. |

It's a translucent gold colour with a thin roicky head. The aroma is grainy malt and sour hops. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with medium high carbonation. The flavour is weak grainy malt with a fair amount of sweetness. Any bitterness is lost. Not a good beer. |

449 | Schneider Weisse Tap X Cuvée Barrique | Germany | Weizenbock | 3.9
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8 April 19, 2019
LCBO # 255 (Milton, Ontario, Canada – Main / Bronte)
750ml bottle
9.5% ABV
Best Before: January 22, 2022
$11.95
The beer was bottled in January 2017. It pours a translucent mahogany colour with a generous off-white rocky head which settles into a long lasting film. The aroma is tart cherries, vinegar, grass, and wheat…..but the tart cherries leave an impression, especially as I was not expecting them! The mouthfeel is medium bodied with above average carbonation. The flavour is interesting. You taste both the tart fruit notes and vinegar, and then in the background is the traditional chocolate notes you get with a dunkelweizen. I like it….a lot. Not crazy about the price, but the beer is good! |
