The aroma is roasted malt, nuts, earthy hops, and light yeast notes. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. I don’t know how to define the taste. There is some definite tartness that bugs me. Not a lot of caramel sweetness as described on the can but there is some definite nuttiness in the flavour, and a bitter finish. Looks good, smells good, but something is lost on the tongue.

The flavour is mild with the grains shining up front along with some fruity sweetness. The finish is a nice bitter bite, but not a long aftertaste. A very pleasant beer.

Flavour is balanced between the sweet caramel malt notes, and the light citrus notes. Finish isn’t overly bitter. A very nice Canadian altbier.
