1801 | Paulaner Salvator | Germany | Doppelbock | 4.2
Aroma: 10 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8 July 5, 2007
LCBO Outlet #255 (Milton, Ontario, Canada – Main / Bronte)
500ml bottle
7.50% ABV
Bottled On: Unknown
$2.35
It poured a beautiful translucent reddish into the glass with very little head. The aroma was that of malts and fruits (apricotish). The mouthfeel is full-bodied, very smooth and crisp with a hint of carbonation. The taste is smooth with hints of yeast, malt and some sweetness and goes down very well. One of those beers that tastes better at the finish than it does at the beginning. Nothing overpowering. A very nice beer. |

1803 | Peroni Nastro Azzurro | Italy | Lager | 2.4
Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 4 June 25, 2007
Smokeless Joe’s (Toronto, Ontario, Canada)
330ml bottle
5.2% ABV
Bottled On: Unknown
$5.90
This was poured by the waitress into a Unibroue glass. It poured very clear with little head. When held up against the light it was a very pale yellow. The aroma was weak with some floral hints. It was very harsh on the tongue with a fair bit of carbonation. The taste was very bitter which surprised me from a pale lager. Not a beer I will try again anytime soon. |

1819 | Pint Pursuits Lord Of Lupulin Pale Ale | Canada | American Pale Ale | 3.2

The aroma is grapefruit, pine, light caramel, and yeast. The aroma is quite boring to be honest. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with slightly above average carbonation. After seeing the name, I half expected Allen Iverson to pop out of the can. He didn’t. The beer poured a light straw colour, with plenty of effervescence feeding a quickly disappearing white cap. The aroma was bready balt, some spice, and weak herbal hops. The mouthfeel was weak to medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour was bready malt, weak spice, and a slightly bitter hop finish. There were times I thought that the beer tasted something like a Labatt Blue from the 80s. |
