Not my favourite Nøgne Ø brew.

The flavour is grapefruity hops, some tart fruitiness, and excessively bitter. Decent enough beer but I'll not be trying it again.

Flavour is similar to the aroma with a lot of nice Christmas spices, some maltiness, and a dry spicy finish

The beer poured a trancluscent gold colour with orange hues. and a thin off-white head. The aroma was pine, weak citrus, and grainy malts. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour is slighty sweet, malty, with citrus and toffee. The finish is bitter.

The aroma was sweet malt, tomatoes (I swear), nutmeg, and cinnamon. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour was slightly sweet, tomatoey, with cinnamon and nutmeg, and a weak bitter finish.

600ml bottle <br> 7.5% ABV <br> I tried this beer on March 18, 2011 at "Smokeless Joe's" in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. One of the ingredients is 'Canadian' maple syrup. Not just any maple syrup, but 'Canadian' maple syrup. The beer poured a solid black colour with a thin tan coloured head. The aroma was roasted malt, coffee, vanilla, milk chocolate, and some spice. The mouthfeel was full bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour was sweet, choclatey, with hints of coffee and vanilla. A very well done stout.

This is the first clear tripel I have seen. Lots of effervescence. The aroma is grainy malt, yeast, spices, and citrus. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavour is yeast, grains, light apple, spices, and citrus. A mild bitter finish.

The aroma was all grainy malt with a hint of hops. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour was very grassy…all malt, very little hops. Boring beer, nothing awful, nothing great.

Okay, but far from outstanding.

The aroma was typical for a cheap mass produced pale lager with hints of vomit, rusted metal, and grains. The mouthfeel was medium to thin bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour was again typical of mass produced pale lagers in that there was very little that wasn't revolting (acidic, grainly, slightly sweet).

The flavour is nicely balanced between the cereal malts, and the mildy bitter hops. A good solid refreshing lager!
