June 20, 2022
LCBO Outlet #649 (Milton, Ontario, Canada – Sobey’s Plaza)
473ml can
5.0% ABV
Canned On: March 21, 2022
$3.95
The beer pours a lightly hazed orange gold colour with a fluffy white head that lasts mere seconds before receding to absolutely nothing. The aroma is weak grassy malt, clementines, and light funk. The mouthfeel is light bodied with slightly above average carbonation. The flavour is light grains, light clementine, and a light tart finish. The lack of a head is disappointing and really ruined the re4st of the experience for me.

1431 Lost Coast 8 Ball Stout United States Stout 3.8

Aroma: 9 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7

22oz bottle
5.8% ABV (as written on bottle)
King/Spadina LCBO Outlet (Toronto, Ontario, Canada)
November 1, 2013
The beer pours a solid black colour with a half inch tan coloured head. Aroma is roasted malt, coffee, and dark chocolate. All well defined. Mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with average carbonation. The flavour mirrors the aroma, and there is a dryness to it. A very good stout, nothing spectacular, but nothing at fault, either.

1435 Lost Craft Neapolitan Stout Canada Milk Stout 3.9

Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8

473ml can
6.0% ABV
Canned On: November 20, 2021
LCBO Outlet #649 (Milton, Ontario, Canada - Sobey's Plaza)
February 4, 2022
$3.35
The beer pours a solid black colour with a little bit of viscosity. Head is light brown, bubbly, but short lived. There is some nice lacing. The aroma is Neapolitan ice cream as soon as you open the can. Within a minute or two, the aroma settles into roasted malt, dark chocolate, and a hint of berry fruitiness. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is a two pronged effort with both the roasted malt and sweet berry flavours attacking the tongue. There is some nice bitterness in the finish. Overall, a good beer!

Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 6

473ml can
4.9% ABV
Main/Bronte LCBO Outlet (Milton, Ontario, Canada)
April 20, 2018
$3.00
The beer pours a hazed caramel amber colour with a generous foamy light tan coloured head that quickly disippates to rocky islamds. The ‘islands’ last awhile. The aroma is tropical fruit, weak caramel, and some biscuit malt tones. The mouthfeel is medium bodies, while carbonation is high. The flavour is very acidic with definite notes of grains and tropical fruit, and with a hint of saltiness. Very weird for the style.

1442 Louis Cifer Coconut-Lemongrass Thai-PA Canada IPA 2.6

Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4

473ml can
6.5% ABV
Canned On: January 13, 2020
LCBO Outlet #649 (Milton, Ontario, Canada - Sobey's Plaza)
April 30, 2020
$3.35
The beer pours a translucent golden red colour, with a decent sized bubbly light tan coloured head that lasts a maximum of two minutes. The first thing I smell is lemongrass followed by hints of coconut, wet grass, and light musty hop notes. The lemon grass almost gives it a shoe polish kind of nose. Not a good sign if you want me to drink your beer! The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with average carbonation. The combination of the lemongrass and coconut give the flavour even more of a furniture / shoe polish note. They don’t meld together at all in this beer.

September 29, 1988
Brewer’s Retail (Guelph, Ontario, Canada – Municipal Street)
355ml bottle
5.0% ABV
$1.10
This used to be one of my favourite beers. This beer pours a nice translucent golden colour with a bubbly white head that dissipates slowly. The aroma is flavourful with a floral tinge to it . The mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour has grassy and malty tones, and more importantly, has some bite to it which is something I like in a beer. This is a beer I would definitely recommend to friends

Effervescence is decent. The aroma is caramel, biscuit malt, light musty hops, and yeast. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is well balanced with caramel malt, spicy hop, and grains. There is nothing outstanding about this beer, but it is a very good example of a North American take on an EPA.

Effervescence is active. The aroma is grainy malt, some light fruit notes, yeast, and earthy hops. The mouthfeel is medium bodied, crisp, with average carbonation. The flavour has more in common with a Nortgh American blonde ale than it does with either an English Pale Ale or an American pale Ale. Quite grainy with a slightly sweet start leading to a bitter finish. Aside from the grains and the hops, not a lot of complexity here.
