1376 | Left Field Brewery Resin Bag | Canada | IPA | 3.6
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 7 20oz draught
6.5% ABV
Bar Hop (Toronto, Ontario, Canada)
June 27, 2014
I've been trying to have this beer for a while now, but it seems to sell out fast. The beer poured a translucent shimmering metallic gold with a thin white ring for a head. The aroma was a pretty simple complement of grass and stale citrus with some earthy notes. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour was grapefruity bitterness followed by a spicy hop bite. |

1377 | Left Field Brewery Squeeze Play Sour (Black Currant) | Canada | Wild Ale | 2.9
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4 335ml can
4.8% ABV
Canned On: July 3, 2019<br? LCBO Outlet #457 (Toronto, Ontario, Canada – Yonge / Eglinton)
October 1, 2019
$3.95
The beer pours a translucent ruby red with a thin pink film for a cap. The aroma is tart fruit including cherries, apples, and raspberries with hints of grass, and herbal hops. The mouthfeel is thin to medium bodied with average carbonation. I’m not sure what beer the other reviewers had, but the contents of my can are very tart, so tart it actually tastes like vinegar with weak notes of black currant. I’m not impressed. |

The waitress said it was in the style of a Guinness, and that should have been my cue as I'm not a fan of Guinness. It poured a dark brown with black edges, and a creamy brown head. Aroma was weak roast with some coffee and chocolate in the background. Mouthfeel was weak to medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour was weak roast, weak coffee, and weak chocolate. So, not offensive......but not memorable. |
