876 | Founders Canadian Breakfast Stout / Founders CBS | United States | Imperial Stout | 4.7
Aroma: 9 | Appearance: 10 | Mouthfeel: 10 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 9 355ml bottle
11.6% ABV
Bottled On: September 24, 2018
LCBO #010 (Toronto, Ontario, Canada – Summerhill)
December 24, 2018
$8.50
The beer pours a solid black colour, similar to pouring motor oil. The head is a minimal brown film on the top. The aroma is quite complex with notes of bourbon, wood, maple, and coffee. The mouthfeel is full bodied with good carbonation. The flavour is bourbon soaked wood, some alcohol hints (quite warming as it goes down), dark coffee, vanilla, and chocolate. You can smell the maple, but you don’t really taste it. I am concerned that one of the ingredients in this beer is potassium sorbate! |

The aroma is pine, citrus, and cardboard. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. Flavour is grains, grapefruit, and pine. Bottled April 15, 2013 so quite fresh, but just doesn't thrill me. |

878 | Founders Dirty Bastard Scotch Ale | United States | Scottish Ale | 4.2
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 9 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 9 355ml bottle
8.5% ABV
King/Spadina LCBO Outlet (Toronto, Ontario, Canada)
January 16, 2014
Part of the Founders feature at the LCBO (Backwoods Bastard, Breakfast Stout, Dirty Bastard, Pale Ale, Porter). The beer pours a dark copper colour with a thin ring for a head. The aroma is dark fruits and caramel. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with above average carbonation. The flavour is sweet malt, molasses, some smokiness, and fruit. Not the best Scotch Ale in my opinion, but one of the better ones I've tried. |

879 | Founders Kentucky Breakfast Bourbon Aged Stout | United States | Imperial Stout | 4.4
Aroma: 10 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 10 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8 as KBS
355ml bottle
12.3% ABV (as marked on bottle)
Best Before: February 19, 2019
Main / Bronte LCBO Outlet (Milton, Ontario, Canada)
August 28, 2018
$7.15
The beer pours a solid black colour with a thin creamy light brown head that sticks around for a few minutes. The aroma is on the boozy side with heavy notes of bourbon and oak up front, and subtle hints of coffee, chocolate, and vanilla. The mouthfeel is full bodied and creamy with above average carbonation. The flavour is roasted malt, coffee, oak and bourbon with some small hints of vanilla seeping through. Definitely too much barrel character for me, but an excellent beer nonetheless. |

880 | Four Fathers Brewing Light Lager | Canada | Light / Lite Lager | 2.6
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 5 473ml can
4.00% ABV
Canned On: April 17, 2021
LCBO Outlet #649 (Milton, Ontario, Canada - Sobey's Plaza)
July 16, 2021
$2.95
The beer pours a very pale straw colour that is lightly hazed. Topped off with a white head that leaves some weak lacing. The aroma is biscuit malt, light herbal hops, and yeast. The mouthfeel is light bodied, but not watery, and the carbonation is average. The flavour takes me by surprised as there is a somewhat tangy and sour note. Not something I associate with light lagers. |

The aroma is tropical citrus, grains, and yeast. The mouthfeel is thin to medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is tropical fruit and grass. There is nothing ‘pilsener’ about this beer, this is more of a juicy IPL. |
