The most prominent aromatic compound was the pepper followed by light fruit, grains, funk, and yeast. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour was light fruit and funk with the pepper really noticeable on the back of the tongue. Light citrus notes and yeast were in the finish. This beer was a disappointment as I am still asking....WHERE'S THE RYE? |

794 | Exchange Brewery No. 7.1 White IPA | Canada | Witbier | 3.3

The aroma is light wheat, light spices, baby powder (yes, I smell baby powder), and earthy hops. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is wheat, and the alcohol is certainly noticeable. The alcohol gives the beer a far more bitter flavour than I like to see in the ‘white IPA / hopped witbier’ realm. |

The aroma was citrusy hops, mild tropical fruit notes, cereal grains, and pine needles. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour was very citrusy, reminiscent of the old style DIPAs before the tropical hop craze kicked in. Also had flavours of weak yeast and grass. It wasn’t as bitter as I would have hoped for, but the thought was there. |
