The aroma is bread, cereal, spices, and weak floral notes. The mouthfeel is medium bodied, creamy, with above average carbonation. The flavour is herbal notes, some wpices, and cereal and bisuit malts. The beer is very dependent on the spicy and grain aromas and flavours. |

327 | Black Isle Barrel Aged Series: Oatmeal Stout (2018 East Coast Edition) | United Kingdom | Imperial Stout | 3.9
Aroma: 9 | Appearance: 9 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 330ml bottle
9.50% ABV
Best Before: LCBO # 255 (Milton, Ontario, Canada – Main / Bronte)
November 14, 2018
$4.80
The beer pours a solid black colour with a 1” medium brown head which slowly recedes to a rocky film. The aroma is roasted malt, dark fruits, chocolate, and coffee. Smells amazing. The mouthfeel is full bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is similar to the aroma with a definite woody taste thrown in. Chocolate flavour is milk chocolate more than dark chocolate. I like the beer, although the flavour doesn’t live up to the promise of the aroma. |

(Toronto, Ontario, Canada)
June 22, 2012
$5.13
Ontario Craft Beer Week
One bar is calling this an Abbey Dubbel, another is calling it a Double IPA. I am going to go with Double IPA because otherwise, this is the most transparent and hoppiest Dubbel I've ever had.The beer poured a translucent amber colour with a long lasting light tan head. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour is a sweet citrusy IPA with a huge punch of grapefruit flavour. Best beer of the afternoon. |
