151 Franziskaner Hefeweissebier Dunkel Germany Dunkel Weizen 3.8

Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8

Pours a hazy golden straw, lots of bubbles streaming to the top, with a thick white puffy head that sticks around for a long time, some lacing too. The aroma is of wheat, yeast and banana. The taste is similar to the aroma and is mostly wheat and yeast with banana in the middle, some clove/spices also but very mild. Classic flavor that is always welcome. The mouthfeel is as carbonated as it looks, with medium carbonation and a light body, quite refreshing and very drinkable.

153 Hofbrau Munchen Maibock Germany Bock 3.8

Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8

Pours a light amber in color with a crystal clear appearance with a small off white head with decent retention and no lacing left behind. The aroma is a bit on the light side with notes of herbal hops, esters, clove, bready sweetness, and faint grains and fruits. The taste of faint alcohol comes through just slightly in the beginning with bready, yeasty, and some grainy flavors that come across as sweet and a bit syrupy at the finish and linger with a slight bitterness. The mouthfeel is moderate and zesty carbonation, medium bodied and a bit syrupy. It leaves the mouth feeling a touch dry.

156 Aecht Schlenkerla Rauchbier Marzen Germany Rauchbier 4.5

Aroma: 9 | Appearance: 9 | Mouthfeel: 9 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 9

pours a dark brown, almost black with a white, cream coloured head with some reddish hints when held to the light. The aroma is smoke, like campfire smoke made of pine and birch and maple. A little caramel sweetness. Wonderful aroma. The taste is much more malty the the aroma would indicate, with some toasted malt, caramel, and then that smoke. It's a got a little bitterness, but wow, that smoke. The aftertaste is dry. The mouthfeel is super smooth, medium body, and a little carbonation. A little numbing almost from the flavour. A very, very crisp clean finish. This beer is great to served with smoked cheese, sausage and crackers.

Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 9 | Mouthfeel: 9 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 9

pours a golden yellow color with a light haze noted to the body with a small white head that drops down to a thin cap, but has some decent staying power and spotty lace. The aroma consists of bananas, wheat malts and clove. The taste follows the aroma really close. The bananas are not as big in taste as they are in the aroma. A nice malty wheat base is found mid palate. Yeasty and fruity notes are all over this beer. Finishes with cloves and more bananas imparting some sweetness. The mouthfeel is light bodied beer with moderate carbonation.

159 Veldensteiner Zwickl Germany Kellerbier 3.5

Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7

pours a hazy yellow in color and has a moderate amount of carbonation with a small frothy white head that gradually died down, leaving a thin layer of bubbles on the surface and a thick ring around the edge of the glass. The aroma is of bready and grainy malts and yeast are present in the smell. As the beer warms up, some hints of honey become noticeable. The taste is very similar to the aroma and exhibits a lot of properties similar to a freshly baked loaf of artisan bread. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied, relatively smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.

Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6

Pours an effervescent golden color with a steady stream of bubbles feeding a soapy medium sized white white head with minimal retention and hardly any lacing. The aroma is of barley malt, toasty grains, and light grassy notes upfront. Some honey sweetness in the background, with a touch of mustiness to it as well. The taste is mostly just clean and unoffensive with a watery graininess permeates the palate. Light barley malt and subtle honey sweetness. Finishes with gentle grassy hops that just give the finish here the faintest touch of flavor. No real aftertaste. The mouthfeel is fizzy carbonation with the body remaining very light.

169 Beck's Premier Light Germany Light / Lite Lager 2.5

Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5

Poured yellow-gold color with little head and virtually no lace. The aroma is very faint grass and skunk but no other real aroma. The taste has faint traces of grain husks, mineral water, and grass were all I could detect. The mouthfeel is thin, spritzy, and extremely light-bodied. pours a hazy dark yellow with a big and quite dense off-white head that has very nice retention and leaves some lacing on the glass as well. The armoa is not really strong on the wheat/bready side, but still nice. Spicy, phenolic aroma, with clove and banana among a bubblegum like feel. The taste is as the smell suggested, very light on the malts side, with just a hint of graininess and is distinctly spicy with phenols and clove hints. Then some notes of banana and again a faint bubblegum like feel. The mouthfeel is light in body and very much on the watery side, with barely noticeable carbonation.
