1777 Strohs Light United States Light / Lite Lager 2.5

Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5

pours a very pale yellow color with a large white head that fades very quickly and leaves a spotty lace on the glass. The aroma contains adjuncts, light malts and a very faint touch of hops. The taste starts out bready with flavors of adjuncts. Then some light malt sweetness comes in with a very mild hops presence in the background. The after taste is lightly bready and slightly sweet. The mouthfeel is crisp and a little smooth, light body, medium carbonation, finish is clean.

1778 Saranac Chocolate Amber United States Dunkel / Dark Lager 2.5

Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5

Pours a light amber color with a small amount of carbonation bubbles, pours with medium sized creamy off white head that lingers nicely and leaves a lot of lacing. The aroma is sweet chocolate malts and not much else. The taste was like powdered chocolate milk mix (Quick) or the chocolate protein shakes. The mouthfeel was pretty intense carbonation tingle, thin, leaves kind of an odd powdery like feeling on the palate.

1779 Burger Classic United States Pale Lager 2.5

Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5

Pours a really clear pale yellow with a thin fizzy white head which is gone in a flash and leaves pretty much no lacing. The aroma is pretty basic corny, bready, and lemony hops. The taste reminds me of PBR. Sweet grains, bready, corn and a touch of citrus hops. The mouthfeel is light in body and higher in carbonation.

1780 Emelisse Winterbier Netherlands Belgian Strong Ale 2.5

Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5

Pours out a medium brown body, fairly good clarity, with a few stray suds that vacant quickly. The aroma is slightly sweet-scented, toasty malts treading towards a faint papery accent with low, vague hints of fruit, spice, and herb. The taste is toasty malts, a little graininess, and a touch of dark, raw sugars leaning sweet (just barely). Sweetish, toasty finish, there's just very little going on here. The mouthfeel is medium body with low carbonation.

1781 Falls City Beer United States Lager 2.5

Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5

pours a pale yellow color with nice white head leaving a little lace. The aroma was slightly sweet smelling with a definite skunky aroma. The taste has an upfront corn and rice taste followed by the most odd sweet aftertaste. The mouthfeel is somwhere between light bodied and medium bodied and heavely carbonated. Another beer from my much younger years.

1782 Forst Premium Italy Pale Lager 2.5

Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5

pours a bright straw yellow body, with a white head with decent carbonation. The aroma is strong corn with mild wet grass. The taste was very crisp and refreshing, get the malts and mildly bitter hop finish. The mouthfeel was very light, but enough there to let it linger.

1783 Red Oval Classic Lager United States Pale Lager 2.5

Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 5

Bought as Name Tag at Trader Joes. Pours a brilliant golden with a small white head that slowly dissipates. The aroms is of grain, corn, and with light floral hops at the finish but also a little boozy. The taste is unexpectedly sweet, more like a malt liquor with grain, corn adjunct, and fruity, apple esters are present throughout, with the finish being lightly bready and a touch bitter. The mouthfeel is on the light side, with moderate carbonation. Better then the big Macro brews and cheep 2 boot.

1784 Becks Sapphire United States Pale Lager 2.5

Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5

Pours a lear light golden color with lots of carbonation, and a medium to light amount of white foam and little to no lacing. The aroma is sweet and grassy, nothing particularly inviting here. The taste starts off slightly sweet but ends with a metallic flavor. Not enjoyable to me. The mouthfeel is smooth and crisp, medium bodied with nothing to complain about here and nothing particularly special either.

1785 Samuel Adams Double Bock United States Doppelbock 2.5

Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5

pours a golden dark brown with a red hue, moderate carbonation with about medium sized head that dissipated quickly, very light lacing. The aroma is slightly sweet with no real hoppy bite, mostly a very clean smell. The taste is hops which comes through way more than I expected. Slight caramel notes. The mouth feel is moderate body and goes down with weird after taste.

1786 Heretic Evil Twin United States Strong Ale 2.5

Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5

pours a hazy dark brown-red with a tan head and no lace and beer is too dark to see any bubbles. The aroma is of citrus and soft pine hops with a mild chocolate malt character and a hint of roast. The taste is some what like the aroma but gone horrible wrong. Taste is overblown by alcohol. The mouth feel is medium-full with an average carbonation for the style. Soft bitterness with a medium sustain supported by chocolate roasted malt which leave a weird after taste.

1787 Evil Twin Hipster Ale United States American Pale Ale 2.5

Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5

Pours a great golden color, that's kind of orange and just dark enough that it compares to other APA's. It has a nice white head that stays throughout the consumption. The aroma has a bit of pine, grass and touches of citrus. The taste at first, is met with a coppery bitterness. It's a bit sharp but fades nicely to show off a mix of bread and sweeter flavors. Again, fruit develops late. Mostly juicy citrus. However, it leave a horrible after taste that grows worse with each passing moment. The mouth feel is medium light bodied with barley enough carbonation.

1788 Avery Old Jubilation Ale United States English Strong Ale 2.5

Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5

pours a muddy deep brown with small toffee colored head, OK retention, decent lacing. The aroma has lots of caramel, wood, licorice, toffee and some warming alcohol. The taste is of dark fruits, sweet caramel and chocolate, wood, abundant alcohol and black licorice. The mouth feel is medium bodied, the alcohol negatively impacts the drinkability, although the beer itself is light for the style. Appropriate carbonation

first let me say I'm not a fan of stouts. pours a dark dark black color virtually no light, with a small tan head that stays. The aroma is coffee and chocolate, the taste follows suit. I should also mention I can't stand coffee either. The mouthfeel is heavy with little carbonation.

1793 Moosehead Canada Pale Lager 2.4

Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5

pours a clear golden, with a smallwhite head which quickly receded with some lacing down the glass. The aroma is weak, I can't pick up too much here, some skunkiness and some malty sweetness. The first taste to me is corn, then the sweet malt, followed by a very mild hop presence, but it all mixes into the overall flavor and is gone with a swallow. The mouthfeel is crisp and smooth, decent carbonation makes this go down easy.

1794 Michelob United States Pale Lager 2.4

Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5

Pours pale golden with a nice frothy white head with plenty of bubbles with little lacing. The aroma is of hops, pale malts, bready, sweet, and clean. The taste follows the aroma. There's a malty sweetness as well as some hops on the back end. It's clean tasting and bready. The body is light with adequate carbonation. The finish is crisp and dry. The drinkability is high. Overall, this is an ok macro lager. Give AB some credit on this one.

Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5

Pours a clear copper orange color with a nice tan head that recedes and laces a little bit of the glass. The aroma has a lot of fruity esters, earthy hops and a slight metallic aroma. The taste consists of a malty sweetness with more earthy hops and a slight medicinal taste. Some floral citrus at the end and esters are not as prominent as the aroma indicated. The mouthfeel is very carbonated, medium body with a little slickness on the tongue.

1797 Kirin Ichiban Japan Pale Lager 2.4

Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 5

pours clear with a pale straw color with small white thin head with little lacing or staying power. The aroma was light pale malty sweetness, with a hint of grassy hops. The taste was missing flavor overall a fairly typical lightweight lager beer, with a balance of slight sweetness and a low bittering element. The mouthfeel was crisp and refreshing.

1798 Molson Ice Canada Pale Lager 2.4

Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5

Pours a clear golden color with almost no head at all and is froth with decent lacing. The aroma is really skunky and sweet with grass and corn. The taste was of caramel and toasted malts and was pretty sweet and a little bready with a mild bitterness at the end. The mouthfeel was pretty light in body and then feels creamy when the carbonation kicks in. Pretty high carbonation.

1799 Molson XXX Canada Strong Lager 2.4

Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5

Pours a golden color with a large white head who's retention is rather weak and it fades quite fast giving way to a light amount of lacing. The aroma is heavy of cereal, with corn being the heaviest with a lighter amount of wheat mixed of a slightly metallic and caramel aroma as well. The taste has sweet corn present with light hints of caramel more towards the middle, but these are very light in comparison to the sweeter corn flavor. At the end of a taste, an alcohol flavor works its way in. It’s not too potent and gives a nice warming feel. The mouthfeel medium boided with a medium level of carbonation.

1800 Mendocino Imperial Barley Wine United States American Barleywine 2.4

Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5

pours a copper, almost ruby color with an insubstantial tan head and no lace. The aroma is a little sweet from what seems to be dark fruits. I get no hint of hops. Alcohol comes through, reminds me of a brandy. The malt is bigger as well, more toffee and bread-like. The taste starts out sweet with the bread malt and dark fruits mixing a little, but then the heat plays around on the back of the throat. The mouthfeel is watery and medium bodied. It's not balanced.
