251 Christian Moerlein Barbarossa Double Dark Lager United States Dunkel / Dark Lager 3.9

Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8

Pours a translucent dark amber brown with a big tan colored head, which takes a good amount of time to dissipate down to only a slight outer ring and leaves absolutely zero lacing. The aroma smells crips with some caramel malts and notes of sweet bread. The taste is flavorful than the aroma implies with a very malt forward, again with a caramel malt sweetness, some earthy notes, a very subtle hint of hop bitterness. The mouthfeel is crisp from the moderately heavy carbonation, medium bodied but gets somewhat syrupy as it warms.

252 Elevator Winter Warmer United States Spiced Beer 3.9

Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8

Pours a beautiful clear amber with puffy, off white, small head with very good retention and nice lacing. The aroma is of sweet grapes, caramel, a touch of cinnamon, and candied sugar. The taste is of spice and fruit. It's almost got a bit of a grape juice taste which fades into that candied sugar and finishes with a touch of spice. Balance is definitely towards the sweetness. The mouthfeel is very smooth in the mouth, low carbonation.

253 Angry Orchard Crisp Apple United States Cider 3.9

Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8

pours and looks like a lager with a small white head that hangs around for a while and leaves a little lace. The aroma is apples very sweet apples. The taste is of course sweet apples and it's highly refreshing, but it's not over powering in anyway. The server told me Sam Adams makes this, I looked it up on internet to confirm it was so. This explains why this cider looked so much more like a beer then a cider.

Perhaps some cinnamon and brown sugar. Banana bread with walnuts. Spicy, yeasty finish with bready wheat notes. The mouthreel is on the lighter side of medium bodied, fluffy and creamy and moderate prickling carbonation.

Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8

jpours a cloudy chestnut color, off white head, dissipates slowly, leaving a lot of very thick lacing. The aroma is plum like yeasty sweetness with mild wet cloves. The taste has a rich yeast and wheat, even some barley malt notes. Spicy fried banana comes to mind, pretty exceptional for the style. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with a chalky thickness. Carbonation is fine and thick in a fizzy way. The finish is slick and a little chewy.

Pours a slightly hazy amber-red color, with a small off white head which leaves behind a bit of lacing. The aroma is light; I pick up some pine hops and a light rye malt flavor. The taste is caramel and rye malts, more pine hop flavors and a bit of citrus as well with a nice balance of sweet and bitter on the finish. The mouth feel is medium to light in body with lively carbonation, somewhat smooth and fairly creamy.

Pours a hazy golden-orange color with a small frothy white head which fades down very slowly leaving behind some nice lacing. The aroma is a mix of sweet grainy and bready malts with grapefruit, pineapple, and tropical hops with some Belgian yeast, spices, wheat, and lemon zest. The taste starts off with some wheat and grainy malts with some lemon zest, grapefruit and tropical hops, and a touch of bitterness. Through the middle, some more lightly bready malts come through with some Belgian yeast, spices, and some spicy and floral hops with a bit more bitterness. Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8

pours crystal clear and is a burnt orange/copper in color with a small creamy off white head that takes forever to dissipate to a sudsy collar and leaving lots of lacing. The aroma is a wonderful toasted malt followed by some sweet caramel and maybe a bit of toffee. The taste is a big, robust toasted malt character that is sweet and round. A pleasant noble hop profile balances the malt out for a very clean finish. The mouth feel has a medium body and carbonation with a smooth, silky texture. Sampled at the Columbus Microbrew Fest.

from oldest continuously operated brewery in Ohio. It poured brilliant and clear light gold body topped with a fluffy white head that did not retain itself for long. Light lacing at the start, diminishing near the finish. The aroma is malty with nice hop presence. The taste is a bit bready, but does pick up on the Saaz hops to a small degree. The mouth feel is crisp and clean with mild carbonation. Refreshing and drinkable beer. Good summer brew for those humid days in July - Sept.

Pours a darker orange tinted amber in color and forms a large bubbly head that reduces down to a thick white surface coating. Some very light lacing. The aroma has a hint of sour cherries, but the dominate smell is of carbonated water or seltzer. The taste is surprisingly mild tart cherry flavor. 266 Long Trail Brewing Blackbeary Wheat United States Fruit Beer 3.9

Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8

Crystal clear, straw yellow. Highly effervescent. Thick, rocky white head settles shortly into just a thin wispy cap. Not much in the way of lacing. The aroma is of natural blackberry and it's restrained enough to allow the beer to come through. Bready wheat and floral hops. The taste is as in the aroma, the blackberry is prominent and tastes very natural, but it is also just tame enough to let the beery aspects come through as well. Floral hop punch with a clean bitterness. Bread and mushy wheat cereal. Wheat dough. Finishes very dry with a wheat twang and a mild hop bitterness. The mouth feel is very light in body. Crisp and aggressively carbonated.

pours a clear and golden with a little of the sediment which clouded things up a little. A conservative top that goes to a partial cover before long. The aroma is very light Belgian yeast at first. As it sets up, some bready and dank floral/fruity notes come out, reminiscent of a pear tree flowers that come out in early spring. The taste is a light fruity malt, a mild spiciness and bite of hops. The yeast provides some classic Belgian character. Finishes wet and clean, a light yeasty tang in its wake. The mouth feel is crisp, fluffy, light to medium body.

Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8

pours a clear light golden with a small white head that is quick to dissipate and has lots of visible carbonation in the body and no lacing. The aroma is sour and tartness on a fruity level and very refreshing aspect to it entices you to take a sip. Almost a grape/wine like characteristic on the aroma. The taste is amazing with a strong funkiness, sour fruits, tart and dry alcohol. Love how the focus is on the sour and not as much the fruits. The mouthfeel is light body with very good carbonation. The sour aspect makes it very dry and extremely drinkable.
