26 21st Amendment / Firestone Walker / Stone El Camino (Un)Real Black Ale United States Strong Ale 2.5

Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 3 | Overall: 4

A deep mahogany pour with a thick and creamy chestnut head. Dark chocolate, fennel, caramel, earthy grains, and some figs in the aroma. Medium to full-bodied and rather smooth on the way down. Caramel, chocolate, and lots of burnt earthy grains start things off taste-wise. A touch of fennel and figs follow. Bitter hops. Char. A peppery bite at the end

28 21st Amendment Hell or High Watermelon Wheat United States Fruit Beer 3.2

Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 6

Pours a lightly hazy pale straw yellow in color with light to moderate amounts of visible carbonation, with a thin fizzy off-white head that quickly reduces to a thin film around the edges of the glass. The aroma is mild but you can definitely detect the smell of watermelon and wheat. The taste is of course watermelon which stands out more in the taste than the smell but there is also a decent wheat body. I like the fact that the watermelon flavor is not artificial or overly sweet. The mouthfeel is light bodied with a moderate amount of carbonation.

29 21st Amendment Hop Crisis United States Imperial IPA 3.8

Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8

Pours a hazy, orange-tinged amber color with a medium sized head of off-white foam that left a slight ring of clingy, carbonation. The aroma consistes of lots of muted, citrus hop resins, a whiff of alcohol and some bourbon-soaked wood chips go along with a tobacco-leaf, earthy malt aroma. The taste is sweet, juicy malts hit up front with a bit of earthy, roasted grains that throw hints of tobacco and raisin before becoming quite bitter. The bitterness ranges from mild and earthy to astringent and citrusy-herbal. The oak-aged essence imparts a hint of vanilla and mature spices before subsiding with a smooth, boozy finish. The mouthfeel is full-bodied with a smooth, vanilla-oak characteristic.

32 5 Rabbit Cerveceria 5 Lizard United States Witbier 3.5

Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7

pours a bit light on carbonation with a small head that fizzes out very quickly. The beer is standard hazy bright yellow. The aroma is of a mild coriander spice and some fruity yeasts but it has a bit of sour fruit funk which is interesting. The taste is actually quite good the sour note isn't fierce as expected like a squirt of fresh lemon. The spices are a bit timid and the actual yeast is fruity and inviting. The mouth feel is light to medium bodied easy to drink

33 8 Wired Saison Sauvin New Zealand Saison 3.9

Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8

Pours a hazy golden-orange color with a small frothy white head which fades down very slowly leaving behind some nice lacing. The aroma is a mix of sweet grainy and bready malts with grapefruit, pineapple, and tropical hops with some Belgian yeast, spices, wheat, and lemon zest. The taste starts off with some wheat and grainy malts with some lemon zest, grapefruit and tropical hops, and a touch of bitterness. Through the middle, some more lightly bready malts come through with some Belgian yeast, spices, and some spicy and floral hops with a bit more bitterness. The finish is a mix of sweet grainy malts, wheat, grapefruit and spicy hops, Belgian yeast, and lemon zest. The mouth feel is medium bodied with moderate heavy carbonation and feels smooth with a dry and citrusy finish.

34 Abita Andygator United States Doppelbock 3.5

Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7

Pours out to a sparkly clear medium golden, forming a finely beaded white frothy head with superior retention and lacing. The aroma has a distinct pale malt character with a hint of toast and biscuit. The taste is quite good...pale malt with biscuit note, very clean and letting the malt toast shine through with a well balanced clean bitterness. The mouth feel is crisp, briskly carbonated, medium dense bodied, finishing slightly sweet and with a touch of syrup left in the mouth afterwards.

35 Abita Blueberry Wheat Harvest Series United States American Wheat 4.0

Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8

Pours a light hazy gold color with nice sized thick eggshell colored head. Not very long lasting. Okay lacing. Medium carbonation. Aroma is fruity, blueberry a little tart. Also pick up a little cracker, wheat is in there, but it’s not strong. Taste is light tart. Taste is also fruity and crackers. It’s interesting. A touch bitter, a little tart. The pilsner malts give it some smoothness, and lessens the wheat taste which can be heavy at times. The blueberry flavor is light, but noticeable. I also notice some very light spicy hops. Mouthfeel is light and refreshing. Very easy to drink, very enjoyable.

36 Abita Purple Haze United States Fruit Beer 3.0

Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6

Pours a cloudy dark-golden/orange color with a thin head and nice lacing. The aroma is light fruity/raspberry smell with feint hints of wheat and grains. The taste has a subtle sweetness with raspberry flavor (which is a too weak). The mouthfeel is light body with medium carbonation. Not a very good example of what a good fruit beer should taste like. Also where is the WHEAT???????????

39 Adirondack Bear Naked Ale United States Altbier 4.3

Aroma: 9 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 9

Pours a clear amber orange color with a small off white frothy head which fades fairly quickly to a ring, but laces okay. The aroma is full of cirrus hops and some sweet fruity aromas. There is also a touch of sweet lightly roasted carmel malts in the background that breaks through. The taste starts off with some fruit esters and orange peel flavor. Lots of fruit elements here. Through the middle the malt comes through alongside some hop bitterness. The finish has some nice sweet fruit flavors and more of the hop bitterness that linger nicely. The mouthfeel is medium to medium-light bodied with moderate carbonation. Very nice and all around crisp beer. Lively on the tongue and very clean finish. Overall extremely drinkable. The flavor is fairly sweet, but it stays balanced throughout. Feels very nice and crisp and very refreshing. This was the first beer I have sampled from this brewery, can't wait to try some of their others. Really a great Ale!

41 Aecht Schlenkerla Rauchbier Marzen Germany Rauchbier 4.5

Aroma: 9 | Appearance: 9 | Mouthfeel: 9 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 9

pours a dark brown, almost black with a white, cream coloured head with some reddish hints when held to the light. The aroma is smoke, like campfire smoke made of pine and birch and maple. A little caramel sweetness. Wonderful aroma. The taste is much more malty the the aroma would indicate, with some toasted malt, caramel, and then that smoke. It's a got a little bitterness, but wow, that smoke. The aftertaste is dry. The mouthfeel is super smooth, medium body, and a little carbonation. A little numbing almost from the flavour. A very, very crisp clean finish. This beer is great to served with smoked cheese, sausage and crackers.
