About:
I love these beers: OtterCreek's "Otterbahn", "Holy Otter" and "Helsinki Gold" Beer from Vermont, Schneiders's "Aventinus", Spatens whole line of beer and Lowenbrau from Germany, Krusovice "Musketeer" from Czech Republik, Southern-Tier's "Un-Earthly" and Great Divide Brewing Co's "Oak Aged Yeti Imperial Stout" from Massachusets and Kwak from Belgium. On the subject of european brews I like Belgian Monk Beer, German Altbier and Wiesen Bier, Czech Pilsners and lagers and Finish Helsinki beers.

Gut, besser, Paulaner! Stimmt dass! Ich trinke dieses Bier gerne und es ist sehr beleibt hier in Deutschland! The aroma is of bananas. The appearance is rusty gold with a nice half inch head. Mouthfeel is medium light and the flavor is the bar that all Hefe's need to surpass in order to be considered a hefe at all!

For an altbier this really missed the mark! It has a dark copper appearance, too malty (reminded me of dog food) and the mouthfeel is just too syrupy. Flavor is nothing to write home about.

I've been to the brewery in Duisburg and I love this pils! on the nose it is malty, a tad sweet. The head is a good qaurter inch and the mouthfeel is average for a pils, too watery I think. The flavor is a little hoppy and light.

For an altbier this really triumphs in the Ruhrgebiet! It is about as copious as an Altbier as Konig Pilsner is here but for a really good reason: It is the best altbier that I have tried! The Aroma is coffee, malt and sweet. The appearance is dark brown. The mouthfeel is crisp but somehow feels thicker. The flavor is typical Altbier but without the sulfer to it like the rest.

The aroma is malty, sweet and a tad yeasty. The appearance is cloudy, light bronze with a decent 1/4 inch head with noticable lees. The mouthfeel is an all out creamy texture with a decent medium body and thickness. Now this is the first Soba Ale that I have ever had so I cannot compare it to much except what I know. It tastes like a Belgian dopple bock Ale with a definate tartness to it. It is not complex, yet it is straight forward and is unyeilding in its light, creamy grain taste and looks like a really stout beer although it is not.
