About:
I enjoy appreciating lifes more affordable brews. In other words, I appreciate the value of cheap beer. I specialize in cheap beer. It's been awhile, now my palette is finer, and I have a better taste to value ratio. Have a beer.

  • George Killian's Irish Red

Killian's has a nice light brown color and a thin head that dissipates quickly. Its flavor is not too rich but smooth. Has a distinct "bready" flavor with no undesirable aftertaste. Also has a nice carbonation that tickles the tongue. From the tap, bottle or can It's pretty much the same beer. Overall, Killian's Irish Red is a satisfying beer for those seeking refuge from the daily swill. The price is nice too, at about 11.99-12.99 (somewhere around there) for 12 cans.

This beer aint too bad. It's cheap beer if i've ever saw or tasted it. But hey, i love cheap beer and this is good cheap beer. The funky smell is cancelled out by this beer's mellow, yet distinct flavor. Overall this beer is my kind of beer. Cheap enough to buy all the time, and flavorful enough to not get bored of it.

This beer is pretty good to me. Nice dark color, almost looks like iced tea when poured into a glass. The head is thin, but existent. Nice, rich aroma adds to the drinking experience. Flavorful in the mouth, nice and sweet but still has that kick of beer bitterness that reminds you what beer should taste like. Not Sam Adams best seasonal brew, but a beer worth trying for the season of October.

Ah, "The Champagne of Beers" Miller High Life. In my opinion, this beer isn't half bad. It may be cheap, but don't rule it out because of price. This beer is a classic and should be enjoyed to whatever extent possible. Smells kind of like sweet corn, and it also has a nice grain flavor that doesn't linger. Flavor is light and not overbearing, but can be a little watery at times. Overall, I think of it as a cheaper MGD. Good with food as well. I used to knock this beer back in the day, until I tried it again. Sure, it's cheap, but what you get is worth every penny.

Ah, St. Ides Special Brew Mixed Fruit. At first glance it looks more like a wine cooler or mikes hard/smirnoff ice type beverage. Take one sip and you'll realize that it's not. Looks almost like purple Kool Aid, maybe a little darker. Smells nice and fruity, a little syrupy going down in my opinion. Tastes like fruit punch or mixed berry juice. A funky aftertaste does sometimes linger in my mouth after drinking it. Too sugary for my tastes, however, it is fairly inexpensive. Bottom line: It isn't bad, but I'd much rather spend the extra 25 cents and get a 22oz smirnoff ice or triple black.
