I must've bought a bad bottle or something. When i went to pull the cork out, I really had to work at it which told me something. Most Belgian Ales, when un-corked, shoot the cork out before you can pry it out halfway. Needless to say, the beer was flat, which was a crying shame, because there were some complex flavors there which couldn't be enjoyed because of the terrible mouthfeel.

I was hoping for something with a bit more complexity (as Belgian ales usually are)so this was a bit of a letdown. The beer poures nice and auburn with almost no head. The aroma was sweet and malty but not overly. It was smooth and velvety on the mouth, so at this point, I was thinking this would be a great find. That's when the dissapointment hit. The flavor was very simple and sugary, not a good kind of sweet either, more like Saccarine. After that, there wore some oaky and maple notes, but barelly so. Overall I'd pass on this one!

This is the first and last Flemish sour I'll try. Although it's a complex beer of high quality, I just can't enjoy the sour flavor. This style of beer is'nt for everyone.

I'd have to second most of what Stoutlover72 said. I found this beer in the 4packs at $8 so it's quite a bargian at that price for a beer this good. In addition to the bannana fruit forwardness, there's also hints of Vanilla with some citrius mouthfeel. If you find this in 4-packs, don't pass it up!!!
