Shame this brewery went under -- I grew up with this being my Stout of choice. Very dark, thick beer. Anything this full is fun to drink. Dark head lasts forever. Unsweetened chocolate flavor, some bitterness, but great finish.

Nice all around ale. Good flavor and appearance. Nice aroma. Not too heavy, not bitter, good finish. Some beers are harsh enough that you can only enjoy one in an evening -- this one is mellow enough you can enjoy several. Good standard belgian ale to enjoy anytime.

Excellent color and feel. Have been drinking this brew for many years and have never been disappointed. Great nutty flavor with a hint of sweetness.
